Well it is here at long last! Can you smell it? The smell of tailgating grills, pigskin, face paint and sun block? The season is ready to start, and on Monday night, September 13, the San Diego Chargers will roll into Arrowhead stadium and kick off the 2010 season. Arrowhead stadium used to bring fear to Charger teams of the past. It is a hostile environment by every definition of the term. SAN DIEGO (AP)—The San Diego Chargers have signed veteran offensive tackle Adam Terry to a one-year contract and released tackle Ryan Otterson.
Terry was cut Saturday by Indianapolis. He played with Baltimore from 2005-09.
This is the second attempt by the Chargers to add veteran depth at tackle to help fill the void left by Marcus McNeill’s holdout. They signed Tra Thomas in June, but he retired on Aug. 21.
Unhappy that he hasn’t gotten a long-term deal, McNeill might sit out the entire season.
The Chargers also signed eight players to the practice squad Sunday. Among them were two draft picks who were cut Saturday, quarterback Jonathan Crompton and tight end Dedrick Epps.Tweet 09-06-2010 04:46 PM 0 Comments

SAN DIEGO (AP)—The Chargers have signed free agent quarterback J.T. O’Sullivan to a one-year contract.
He’ll be added to the roster Tuesday and a corresponding roster move will be made then. He’ll line up on the depth chart behind Philip Rivers and Billy Volek.
O’Sullivan spent 2009 with the Cincinnati Bengals, playing in three games.
The Chargers cut third-string quarterback Jonathan Crompton on Saturday and signed him to the practice squad Sunday.

IRVING, Texas - Patrick Crayton wanted out the minute the Dallas Cowboys drafted Dez Bryant. He finally got his wish Friday, and it might've been worth the wait.
Crayton was dealt to the San Diego Chargers, where he'll be a bigger part of the offense than he would've been in Dallas and still will be playing for a contender. The change in locales isn't bad either, although he's leaving the area where he grew up.

Well folks it happened. Fans frothing at the mouth for football have completed the journey through the desolate off season, past the rugged barriers of spring training, beyond the shores of pre-season and now stand on the brink of the promised land; the NFL season.

The Chargers put the lid on what on the most bizarre camps they've had in years.
They hit the field for good Sept. 13 in a Monday Night game against the Chiefs. Maybe at that point the year will take on a sense of normalcy.
The recently concluded camp will be known almost for as much as who wasn't here and those in attendance.
The Chargers got linebacker Shawne Merriman in late and never did see two other Pro Bowlers, left tackle
