The sudden and surprising release of Rashaun Woods begins to sharpen the focus on what the San Diego Chargers ‘ wide receiving corps will look like opening day.
“We looked at the numbers, ” said head Coach Marty Schottenheimer, “and have some young guys that are clearly ahead of where Rashaun was and rather than have him be here just to take reps we decided to give those reps to some of those other youngsters.”It’s expected that the Chargers will keep five wide outs, with starters Keenan McCardell and Eric Parker, along with backups Vincent Jackson and Kassim Osgood virtually assured of four spots.
