SAN DIEGO (AP)—LaDainian Tomlinson knows it will be an emotional day when he and the San Diego Chargers visit the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Now in his ninth season, Tomlinson figures it probably will be his only visit to the new Cowboys Stadium as a player.
L.T. is from Waco. The only other time he played at Dallas during his NFL career was his second game as a rookie in 2001.
Tomlinson remembers talking to boyhood idol Emmitt Smith before the game and playing in front of several family members at Texas Stadium. He also remembers losing a pair of diamond earrings valued at $26,000.
Tomlinson reached two more milestones in Sunday’s 30-23 win at Cleveland, San Diego’s seventh straight victory. He moved past Hall of Famer Jim Brown and into eighth place overall on the career rushing list. He also scored his 150th career TD.
