forgot to add those to the poll, sorry (also forgot to add Sheli having his sex-change operation and Brady retiring to persue a career in acting)

I was torn between Norv and Merriman, but Merriman being extended won't mean much if Norv's at the helm so I had to go with Norv.

All beef draft and extending Merriman are mighty tempting answers, but firing Norv should be at the top of everyone's list this year. Like Leo said, none of it will matter if Norv is still here to crash the car into the ditch.

    Merriman.

Can't help but feel that he would have helped us get more 3 & outs or stop opponents more often thus getting our offense back on the field more often.

Drafting beef means we are getting unknowns to the NFL. Some are already complaining that we may have some one hit wonders on our team.

Firing Norv alone makes the team at least a few games better. So imo I went with what I think will improve the team the most and that's firing Norv.

I'd like to extend Merriman but I'd like to see him play after surgery before giving him the big bucks to make sure he's ok.

Dream draft is always nice as well, but drafting great players won't matter if you have ****** coaching.

I don't know enough about alot of those coordinators nor even that much about Rex Ryan who I like, all i care is that they aren't milktoast, they can kick *** and take names, and that they are able to motivate

No thanks to McDaniels, he uses the RB even less than Turner, plus there's a question of whether he's just a product of the system, look at Weis and Crennel neither did well as HCs.

Naah...similar scenario played out in Baltimore as here. 13-3 dropped to 5-11 over one season.

On the plus side we can't possibly have an 8 game drop between this year and next after what will likely be a 5-6 game drop this year no matter who's in charge...conisder it the "Glass Half Full" theory.

Back on topic: Sign Merriman, whack Norval. End of story.

God Himself wouldn't be able to get us to the SB with the lousy coaching we have. I vote to fire Norv first, then maybe we'll grow back our cojones.

Hi all, just recently found my way to this forum, I've been on chargers.com forums for the past 4-5 years.

Anyways my thoughts on this are if we get rid of Mr. arrogance (AJ) then we are likely to kill 2 or more birds with 1 stone, as i dont see many GM's keeping a coach who has demolished a team as Norv has here. Same goes for merriman, a new GM would most likely do what is necessary to keep him here.

    Welcome to the board.

I agree with your reasoning, but don't see a snowball's chance in hell that AJ goes. I just want him to do what is needed to get the team on track for next year. That includes extending Shawne & canning Norv.

    Just do it, AJ!!!! :icon_evil:
