I swear to God this is the last stat comparison I'm going to post tonight. :icon_rofl:

2003 Pats Record: 14-2 (finished season on 12 game winning streak)
2006 Bolts Record: 14-2 (finished season on 10 game winning streak)

'03 Pats were ranked 1st in points allowed and 12th in points scored.
'06 Bolts are 1st in points scored and 7th in points allowed.

'03 Pats scored 348 points and allowed 238 (110 point differential).
'06 Bolts scored 492 points and allowed 303 (189 point differential).

'03 Pats ranked 18th in total offense and 7th in total defense
'06 Chargers ranked 7th in total offense and 10th in total defense

    In '03 Brady completed 60.2% for 3620 yards, 23 TDs, 12 Ints (85.9 QBR)
    In '06 Rivers completed 61.7% for 3388 yards, 22 Tds, 9 Ints (92.0 QBR)

BTW, just for comparison, our 189 point differential is identical to that of the '89 49ers, who also finished 14-2 and pounded the Donks in the SB, 55-10.

These Chargers are having a year for the ages. This isn't a fluke or some inflated record. The '06 Bolts are going to go down as one of the best teams of the last 25 years.

The prison sex begins Sunday at 1:30. :abq2: :abq1:

Most important stat is who shows up on sunday. Stats are just numbers. We all know stats belong on paper.

That's simply not true. There are direct correlations between certain stats and winning championships, such as no team in the last decade has won a SB without a top 10 scoring defense. Stats aren't just numbers.

The point i'm making is that the Chargers, because of their lack of historical success, are being tremendously underappreciated by the media and the "experts." We are by far the best team in football and we will prove it over the next three games.

Lets not forget another important thing. The 12th man. I have been honored and lucky enough to see more games in person this season than ever before.

The Q is LOUD! The fans this season are rabid. Against the Raiders, the fans were so loud it physically hurt. Every game I have been to I said that this is the loudest I have heard the Q. Baby and company are going to have a hell of a time getting plays out. And the D are going to get a rush from the fans screaming "YOU CANT RUN!" so loud I will hear it in Sun City!

Let the east coast people think that the Q is an easy place to play. They will learn... Oh they will learn...

If Baby was in front of Yoda right now, Yoda would deny all training, because he would sense MUCH FEAR!

I'll add one more interesting fact

The last two times we beat the Pats, the Pats came off of very close emotional wins

    2002: Won 21-14
Last week opponent Kansas City (NE won 41-38 in OT on Vinaterri FG)

    2005: Won 41-17
Last week opponent Pittsburgh (NE won 23-20 on last minute field goal by Vinaterri)
