I can work the AZ, Cardinals. I am as well not wanting anymore teams to Draft for. I apologize to you all for it but one is enough for me to do my research for their Draft.
Yes research for the AZ, Cardinals. I am not trying to win nothing on this. We all are trying to have fun with being a GM for a day and see what we all who are partaking picks. :icon_toast: Just trying to have fun is all. No prizes or anything. just some good ole Bolttalk fun. :icon_toast:
YOu better pick a super player for us inadays. Just kidding. Do your best. Do you know if they are gonna allow trade downs.
I kinda don't think so. I think for the sake of keeping things moving you're required to take a player with each selection. But I could easily be mistaken. Amir Pinnix - RB - Minnesota :icon_tease:

Looks like we now need someone to pick for the Jets. Please let Thumper or LT-Express know if you want to join the mock or add a secondary team. We can post here once we've found the replacement. Don't hesitate to join now if you want a team. I'd be willing to give up my second team if that was necessary.
Guys, I'm cleaning out my garage.. Just did this in 10/06 and it's full of crap again. Anyway if I'm not in the chat room on time, will someone call my cell phone and tell me to get my butt back in the house?
I made it back from work. CArrie you've got less than 45 minutes to quit messing around in your garage.
Almost show time people, get your material ready remember the chatroom will open in 5-7minutes http://chat.bolttalk.com

Here were MTL's picks so we can look back and praise in 2 years... Matt Ryan Jonathan Stewart Trevor Laws Antoine Cason Mario Manningham Tyrell Johnson Cliff Avril Earl Bennett
Don't know who is here right now... but let me know if you want to do a third round on the forum. We don't have to do it today.. it can be scheduled for another time. Edit: IMO, there are probably still enough good players out there to do a third round sometime next week... but that is all I'd do.
Ok we decided to keep this to 2 rounds in the chat room, but I'm leaving the list of picks for the 3rd round here so that those that want to continue here in the forum may. Thank You to everyone that participated. This was an awesome event.
I'm going to grade my draft. I'll give myself a solid A for my Dallas draft. :icon_rofl: I addressed three strong needs with some gooood players 3rd ranked CB in Mike Jenkins- 28th pick of first round 4th ranked RB in Felix Jones - 22nd pick of first round 7th ranked WR in Donnie Avery - late second round pick For the Jags I'll give myself an A-. I addressed the strong defensive needs in the early rounds. 4th ranked DE in Phillip Merling - 26th pick of first round 6th ranked DT in Dre Moore. - late second round pick
Dang you carrie for making those cowturds better. With two 1st rounders the cowturds could get alot better this year. Hopefully jerry jones will mess up as he did before parcells took over. Whats interesting is I think we all narrowed it down to who are the quality players and generally where they might land. Of course the most interesinting pick or picks will be what the chargers do.
Actually, I agreed with many of the picks. I think we did a great job with this MOCK. Yes, I'm very interested with whom the Chargers might pick. We should start some kind of pool or v-bookie bet on this.
I give myself a solid B+. I gave the Chiefs Glenn Dorsey, who should vastly improve there 28th rushed def. (sorry L.T.) and I gave them Sam Baker who should offer Croyle (5th in sacks allowed) to stay off of the grass a little. Seahawks..A- Limas Sweed will be a solid #3 reciever behind Branch and Ingrahm. Plus I pulled the in #2 T.E. , which would help the pass happy Seahawks (8th) pass a little bit more.
Whats there to be sorry for? I think you made a good pick, either way you go there is a position of need! The more I think of it if Dorsey is still there come the 5th pick, its a great pick up! I also think that there O-Line has just been desimated the last couple of years and spending a top 5 pick isnt a bad way to go either! GOOD JOB and thanks again for participating.....I hope everyone had a good time, cause I had a blast!
My grade per round went this way for the AZ, Cardinals. 1st round I gave myself a solid ( B+ ) because I was able to get for the needs department an excellent RB with Rashard Mendenhall for the Cardinals. For my second rounder I had to kind of reach here but I went for a CB for the Defensive side of the ball and that pick was Terrell Thomas CB USC . In on that I give myself a ( C ). Because I had a short list and I was confused as to peoples picks. They were kind of quick and I had a little bit of hard time keeping up with my reading and as well looking at Thumpers list of each persons picks. I did Draft for the needs for the Cardinals and it was kind of hard in the second round. Some of the higher ranked CB's were taken at that point. It was going to be a lot harder in the third because for the most part I was going to Draft a OL for the Cardinals. I was as well at the Third round going for a DL for at that point of my pick. At that time of that Draft all that higher ranked OL and DL were already chosen so I would have to go with the best of either the Oline or Dline choice. So for my all around Draft grade I give myself a ( B- ). There you have it.
Good time yesterday, everyone!! Lost my connection around the time of the Vikings first pick, got it back just after my scheduled pick for Pittsburgh. I had Albert slotted there, but he was gone. Otah was my B pick for them, so thanks to the consensus group for picking him there for me. I grade my #9 pick of Sedrick Ellis for the Bengals a solid "A". Was very happy to see him available at this spot & feel that he may well turn out to be the best DL in the draft. I'd grade Jeff Otah for the Steelers at 23 a "B". Would have liked Brandon Albert at this spot, but Otah is a big, strong guy who should fit well in Pittsburgh's offensive scheme. I took James Hardy for the Bengals at #46. He's atop 5 WR prospect in my of the "experts" opinions. He's a big kid with good speed, pretty raw, but with a lot of upside, IMO. With the departure of Chris Henry, the Bengals need a WR. I grade this pick a "B-". At # 53 I picked Kentwan Balmer for the Steelers. I like this kid quite a bit. Watched him play at UNC. He's big with a frame to get bigger, strong as an ox, decent burst, & responded well last year to new coaching. I see that as a plus coming into a new environment. I was surprised to see him available at this pick & grade this a "B". My 3rd rounders (based on availability) would have been as follows: Cincy at #77 takes Chris Johnson, RB, East Carolina. He'd make a great change of pace back to combine with Rudi. Has blazing speed, good hands, & can run decently between the tackles. Pittsburgh at #88 takes Justin King, CB, Penn State. Decent size, excellent speed & quickness, fluid hips. Is raw right now, but has huge potential & can also contribute on special teams as a return man. Should really benefit from good coaching at the next level. That's my .02 cents worth. Thanks to all who helped make this event happen.
