As the end of the year is approaching, several are wondering about the possible lockout next year. If there is a lockout in 2011, what impact will it have on the NFL, players, fans.. and in general, America? Also, if there is a lockout, who would be to blame?

Well, it's a way to make sure the Raiders don't have yet another losing season?

If the CBA expires in March, without a new CBA being ratified, I can almost guarandamtee there will be no 2011 season.

Those who went to the strike games know that we did not miss a beat as fans. Our strike replacement players were off the hook. If I remember right we were undefeated or lost one game. Those games were a blast. Have no fear Bolt fans because Strike football rules.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday a new labor agreement could be in place by the Super Bowl

Roger Goodell thinks CBA deal could be done by Super Bowl - ESPN

The season could still come to an end. Me personaly im begining to weigh how much I really love this product that is the NFL and how its going. Like Irvin said they are already working to tone down the agressivness. THAT imo will kill alot of the reason I love and thought that the NFL was on a lvl all its own... Also I cant see how 2 preseason games turned into reg season games and 3-5 extra players per roster.. also where are 32 teams gonna find 3 even second string/starter calibur players from? Are they jus gonna be some UDFAs we otherwise never would have seen, also how does on the job training for these players vs in a exhibition game not dillute down the uniqueness that was the NFL.

Oyea and how many more injuries to starters per team average a season? Im gonna lock in at 25% more than a 16 game season with 4 pseas games.

Prepare youself to attach our fandom less to the name on the jersey and jus focus on the jersey itself. Granted they still are Chargers in 2012.

if the nfl wants to fix its concussion issue, try something like a revert to no helmet or leather helmets again. Im pretty sure players wouldnt be doing the *I hit you with my helmet* tackle vs a traditional wrap up tackle. THIS would be a change I would be VERY on board for and would be positive would solve the lack of taclking skill and concussions leaugewide.

I should be the Mish. RG sucks.

The reflexes and hand eye coordination to hit a curve pales in comparison to racing at almost any level.

Both require a keen trained eye. In both timing is everything. Many people watch racing just to see a crash, and many people watch baseball just to see a bean ball. The hardest thing in all of sports is to take a round ball, a round bat, and hit it squarely.

    BS.

The best hitters in the game fail at getting a base hit 70 percent of the time.

Not to say that anyone could be turned into either, but with the right training, I think anybody on this forum could be turned into a race car driver more easily than they could be turned into a major league hitter.

I highly doubt that anyone can just be trained to do either sport at a high level and be competitive. I have played a little ball and was also involved with racing totally different but I know from my experience racing is more difficult. Like I said to begin with, on any level racing is much more tougher as the risk is much greater for injury/death.

Speaking purely as a spectator, racing is boring. I simply can't watch cars flying by for hours on end.

when you say "Racing" what kind? Boats, Cars, Motorcycles. Trucks, Snowmobiles, Bicycles, or BMX?

To tell you the truth I would rather go into a chicane doing a 100MPH then have a 100MPH fastball coming at me.
