This is what my "new posts" search looks like right now.

(There's a third page but it would have been overkill to copy all of them to explain the overkill)

Here's the link to where they're posted at.

I'm not even sure what the purpose is of these "threads".

They seem to just link us to stories posted on the home page.

That is the purpose of the threads. It is the link to the front page article. If you post in this thread the post becomes a 'comment' to the article. This problem (multiple threads for one article) is known and reported. Robdog is looking into it.

    Gotcha (regarding the purpose)

And thanks for looking into the multiple post issue. :)

Yeah I am still working on this issue. Seems to be something buggy with an internal function with vBulletin. Still waiting for the all important 4.1 update...

Can we get the feature in our UserCP that allows us to block specific sub-forums from searches for new posts?

I know vBulletin has it because it's available at other forums.

This issue is making searching the forums a bit unbearable since I always use the search for new posts feature.

I have excluded that from the search index probably should of thought of the easy option to simply switch that on. However, I think that I have to rebuild the search index which I will do tonight. (takes a little while and some processing power)
