The Chargers' surprising 2004 season was no fluke. Drew Brees is capable of having another dominant performance, even if he doesn't put up the same staggering numbers as he did last year. The same is true for tight end Antonio Gates. With LaDainian Tomlinson continuing to rank as perhaps the most dangerous multiple-threat running back in the league, the Chargers' offense will be as hard as ever to stop. If Merriman can get up to speed quickly, he can make the defense better.
