You might have to consider that Michael Turner was just luck, and that it took him a couple years sitting behind LT in his prime before anything was asked of him.

I think it would be incredibly arrogant of AJ to wait that long hoping he lands another Michael Turner. And even if we do I highly doubt he's just going to step in as a rookie and be productive.

Somehow I doubt AJ is planning on drafting a RB with the hopes that he doesn't do anything for three years and then breaks out.

I did watch all the film....the film where he's dominating D-II teams like Findlay, Tiffen, and Saginaw Valley:lol: The guy clearly slipped by the wayside during recruiting, but you can't tell me there arn't 100 D-I backs who couldn't do the same thing against that kind of inferior talent.

Be my guest and waste your time with guys like LaMarcus Coker.:icon_rofl: The guy was kicked off Tennessee for failing MULTIPLE drug tests. He's not even ranked by ESPN and CBS, and Scout.com has him going in the 7th. Its more than likely he doesn't even get drafted at all, much less by AJ. He's a UDFA who may turn into a kick return specialist in a couple years, and the signing of Marcus Mason makes the chances of us drafting him almost slim to none.

Eagles will get him. They could use another RB and they like guys with off-the-field issues because they feel their "program" can help them

I don't see us drafting a RB until at least the 3rd... it'll be NT then CB...

He's big no doubt, but he doesn't exactly dominate people. He holds his ground at the LOS but he's playing a in 4-3, so he's only taking on ONE BLOCKER. If he were anything like Jamal he'd be pushing that guy into the backfield.

I'm just not that impressed. Other than his wide body, nothing about his play says he can take on and split double teams in the NFL. Cam Thomas is not only just as good at doing this stuff here, he's quicker off the snap and far more mobile.

Well since it's my time, thanks for your permission.

Whether he gets drafted or not, I want to watch him run and W&M is near my mom so I can get in a visit with her as well. Does that make it OK with you now?

It's all good, man. Not certain that I can even get in yet. One of my musician buddies is a professor there & says next week is spring break for them, so I may have trouble making the contact that I need to make. We'll see - I just think it would be a fun experience.

Drop Tate, add Jahvid Best.:icon_tease: Tate was on nobodys radar before he ran a good 40 time at the combine, he'd have been a 4th round pick.

I think our mock draft should be an indicator, that despite both of you thinking we're going with Terrance Cody and together of you had the power to overrule my pick, and you couldn't pull the trigger either.:icon_shrug: Cody is just too risky to burn a 1st on.

This feels like Buster Davis too me, at the time we needed a speedy/explosive reciever to either beat out VJack or be a compliment, and we REEEAACHED a long way to fit the mold and ended up getting the wrong guy.....because Sydney Rice went a half hour later.

That said, your right AJ does have history of dissapointing me.

Late round prospect for you...Alphonso Smith RB Kentucky.

6'0, 210lbs, just ran a 4.38 at his pro day, with 19 reps and a 36 in vert...Says he's ran sub 4.3's in UK practices, and that he'd love to race CJ Spiller just to prove a point.

    He's a cocky little punkass.

well we already have Marcus Mason, right? We don't need to become the donks and have a million RBs, we just need some decent ones. I'd be fine if he tried out for us when he becomes a UDFA

Hey buck, seriously, wtf is with you and DIV II RBs??

Last year was that scrub Jennings, and now Bell, who im willing to bet youve never seen play, and have only see the youtube highlights.

Seriously, when was the last time a div II RB did anything in the NFL? Walter Payton?
