Cleo Lemon had a better preseason than both Brees and Rivers. Plus he has great accuracy and arm strength. We may see him play against us when the Dolphins come to town later this year.
Why the hell did we trade Lemon for feeley? That doesn't sound like a good trade. Even if we traded on of the other 2 QB's, I would rather have Lemon as our backup than Feeley. :unknown:
It is an akward trade. We lost a good QB (potential #2) and gained a late round pick. The talk is that it is setting up to trade Rivers away, but I wouldn't be surprised it Brees was let go. The Chargers organization can be funny like that. (ie. JJ, R. Harrisson, & Seau.) I think another playoff appearance will guarantee Brees to be our QB in 2006.
