Yes immediately. Click on players and then where it says position hit that arrow and click on SS. Pick a player by clicking on the green cross and then just drop the guy on the DL unless he's a total stud then you can put him on the DL allowing you to add a player.

I read the message posted int he league. This has nothing to do with waivers at all. I just picked up a good pitcher with ZERO wait time because he was a free agent. i.e. not on waivers.

Rexy's question was why she had to drop someone when she had a empty spot on her roster in the pitchers section. That's because she is allowed a certain number of players total and she picked more batters. I'm sure she has batters onthe bench. She'll need to drop one of them to pick up a pitcher. BTW, there are several decent pitcher available as free agents right now that she could have in her line up tomorrow. No waiver period required. :icon_shrug:

I just got the #4 ranked person in the league while he's hot...

Also picked up a pitcher and dropped two "dogs"

Thumper showed me how to fill my roster without having to go through waivers.

I wasn't aware there was only a small period with waivers. I was under the impression everyone would be on waivers the entire time.

It appears that the stats at the far right are just the game stats, is that right?

How can I get the overall stats for each player on my team without having to look each one up?

          What does PPD mean???

In my world that is a form of a TB test.... In the fantasy baseball world, does that mean postponed????

If so, does that mean I should bench the player and play someone else?

If it's next to a game, it means "postponed" usually due to rain.

I was supposed to get Ryan fuking Freel off waivers TODAY, 4-21. It was at the top of my Team Page.

I check in and Carrie has him instead. she got him TODAY.

Nothing personal to Carrie, but WTF???

              I DONT FUKKING GET IT.:icon_evil:

Someone explain this to me before I fukking SNAP.:helm1:

That's how waivers works. Everyone has a waiver ranking. When a player is released, he goes on waivers for a period of time. Anyone that wants him can put a waiver claim on him. When the waiver period is over, the person with the lowest waiver number gets the player, but when he/she gets the player, that persons waiver number is reset to the highest number and everyone else drops down.

I saw you got someone off waivers resently, so your waiver number was reset tot he highest. Since Carrie had a lower waiver number and also put in a claim for this player, she got him, but her waiver number was raised. Since hers was raised, your went down one. You currently have an 11 waver number. I currently have a 2. If you and I both tried to get the same play off waivers, I'd get him, but my waiver number would go up to 14. Everyone that was above where I was (2) would move down one, so you'd get a 10 instead of an 11.

As long as you have a hi number, don't expect that you'll get anyone off waivers unless you are pretty sure nobody else is trying for him. In that case it might be better to just wait until he's off waivers and becomes a free agent, then if he hasn't been snatched upm you can get him without it affecting your waiver number.

It's because this is a rotiseree league. It's boring. There would be much more to talk about if this were a head to head league because we'd actually be playing against a different person each week instead of doing a whole bunch a stat watching.

Also, in head to head, you always still have a chance, but let's face it, in rotiseree, some people are already basically out of it. Would you pay much attention if your season was basically done?

well, thats why you have to aquire new players and make your team better...its hard...

i guess i just drafted a pretty good team...

i think i would rather play head to head...

Head to Head is more fun, but this is what it is. If you watch your players and scour the free agents like 10 times a day, you've got a chance to improve your team a bit.

I hope you don't. It's sooo early that you can't even start taking the standings seriously for another month at least. Look for trades and as Thumper said just watch the waiver wire.

Abreu? I didn't think I had a chance at him as my waiver ranking was pretty high. I can't believe someone dropped him and the Yankees will turn it around; they always do. When that happens it's easy for anybody in that lineup to drive-in and score 80 or more runs.
