I just ordered the newest version for my wife and wanted to get some feedback from anyone that has one. I will post up my comments when I get the dam thing in about 2-3 weeks. (dam back orders)
I like the new price point. But I'd rather spend a bit more on a wifi only iPad since I can still read Amazon ebooks and do more with it.
I am waiting for iPad v2 with a front facing camera for face time, which will be about a year. So in the mean time, the wife is going to have to settle with the kindle.
There will be a flood of android pads (and a Blackberry) out before the holidays. These will have cameras and offer the Amazon Kindle app. That is unless you are one of those Apple fanboys that does not like Android. Just google Android tablets and you will see what is to come. There will be multiple companies that will offer these.
I will say, that I am becoming a bigger fan on the android platform. I have heard about the android tablet, but just not really researched the topic. I am sure when it comes time to buy a tablet device(or even my next phone), I am going to be comparing android and iOS phones for sure. No apple fanboy here, but I am buying more and more Apple devices lately.
