Babin, 32, has 5 1/2 sacks this season after posting a career-high 18 in 2011 after signing a five-year, $28 million contract with the Eagles. "We appreciate everything that Jason has given this team over the last couple of years. We wish him all the best as he continues his career," coach Andy Reid said in a statement. "By releasing him today, this gives us an opportunity to give more playing time to some of the younger guys in the defensive line rotation." Last month, the Eagles fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo. Pointy (No, we aren't going there with this one either...)

Rolando McClain said he is done with the Raiders, he wants to play for any other team but them. If he ends up on waivers.. Do you pick him up? I mean he is trouble off the field, but seems like he's cleaned it up? I don't know, he is only 23, think him and Butler could be a great tantrum. Never knew he was Le'Ron McClain's cousin.. Guess I can understand the Bama connection now.. But, I'll be realistic for a second and say highly doubt it..
He has struggled in pass coverage, but he could do well in a change of scenery. The talent is definitely there.
He's a classic case of a player coming from a college defense that is really talented across the board. The individual players are above average, but look amazing because opposing offenses are overwhelmed by the overall talent level. When you see good players dominating on bad defenses against good competition, you know that they have amazing talent because the offense can isolate that player away from the play.
