I don't get all the hate towards Nickelback. That was quite possibly the best concert I've ever been to.

      Chevelle in 3 weeks!

Let's see, I remember going to see Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses (the original, not the bastardized version of today  ) back in my high school days. Since then I think the only concerts I've been to are for Linkin Park, Blink 182, and the Gorillaz.

I also saw Flight of the Conchords live last year, though I'm not sure if they qualify as being a band or a comedy act.

Oh, my ex was also really heavy into Japanese and Korean hip-hop bands back when we were together, so I got dragged to a couple of those concerts back in the day. I'm not even going to bother counting those, considering I barely remember their names anyway.

I love Seether's music but I honestly wasn't very impressed with them in concert. There was just no intensity... the crowd was there for them but started getting board with them.

      OK...I'll play. How about these:

      Ozzy Osbourne (Anthrax opened, 1989)
      Metallica (twice)
      Scorpions
      Def Leppard
      Judas Priest
      AC/DC (twice)
      Van Halen (twice)

      That's just the beginning...

For those of you who like Goth music, such as "The Cult," "Sisters of Mercy," "Mission UK," "Bauhaus," etc. Check out this site... http://www.drowning-season.com/drowning_season.htm

This is my friend's band. You can listen to some songs on the site.

Cool. Do you like the Norwegian Death Metal/Murder scene like Mayhem, Burzum, Gorgoroth, Emperor, Darkthrone?

Then there's the old school such as Celtic Frost, Venom, Sodom, Bathory, Hellhammer, etc.

          Alice in Chains in '96.

Bush in '98 Rose garden (only because we got free back stage passes from Gavin who I met in a little resort town. It was cool hanging out and eating his food, drinking all his beer)

Yeah right, it all sounds good until the guy starts singing. Wait, that's not singing, it's more like he's pushing a wood rasp up and down in his throat while screaming.

Also, there's no way my kid can be cooler than me because Fembolts are the Coolest!!!

Axl Rose was the biggest a**hole I ever met.

I remember seeing Guns N Roses at the best night club there ever was... Hammerjack's in Baltimore. This will tell you when it was. The capacity was about 2,000 and it wasn't even sold out.
First off, the owner wasn't very happy about them bringing drugs and underage girl to the dressing room.
Slash literally had to be walked out to the stage. They leaned him up against a Marshall stack and handed him his guitar.
Axl was so doped up, he cold hardly hold his head up to sing.
Izzy pissed all over the sound board half way through the show.
After the show, they didn't have any change so they pushed over the cigarette vending machine, broke the glass, and stole some cigarettes.

But the funny part was that the bouncers pushed their roadies out of the way and literally threw them and their equipment out the back door.
The police showed up and arrested several members and roadies as they were trying to get back in.

At the end of the night, I'm walking back to my car... I hear this scared little voice say "hey, you got some blow?" I turned around and it was Axl. I said "no." He says "well then f**k off."
            It was pretty funny.
