Yes, I am still VERY into football, but, for those fans I know of, Cardinals, A's, Padres:

Gear up for baseball at fan fests
    01/02/2007 12:41 PM ET
    By Lindsey Frazier / MLB.com

As many baseball fans across the country battle frigid temperatures and are stuck shoveling knee-deep snow from their driveways, it's sometimes hard to forget that Spring Training is just two short months away.

To help fans get back into the baseball spirit, teams are hosting fan festival celebrations throughout January and February to gear up for the start of the national pastime.
Fan fests often last an entire weekend and give fans the opportunity to meet the players, managers and coaches of their favorite hometown team, while also allowing fans to go behind the scenes of their team's ballpark.
While fans enjoy the festivities, they are also helping to give back to the community as some clubs donate the proceeds from the ticket sales to benefit local charities.
Here's a look at some of the upcoming Fan fests at ballparks across the country:

St. Louis' 11th annual Winter Warm-Up will take place on Jan. 13-15 at the Millennium Hotel in downtown St. Louis. Fresh off the team's 2006 World Series championship, fans can continue the celebration into the new year and will be able to attend autograph sessions and a sports card and memorabilia show, while participating in clinics on baseball techniques and strategy and interactive games. There will also be panel discussions with team owners, scouts, broadcasters and other baseball officials and personalities. All proceeds benefit Cardinals Care, the team's community foundation for kids. Due to the large number of fan and sponsor support over the years, the Winter Warm-Up has helped donate $10 million to St. Louis-area children's organizations since its inception in 1997. For ticket information, visit stlcardinals.com, call (314) 345-9600 or visit the Busch Stadium administrative offices.

For the second year, FriarFest will take over PETCO Park on Jan. 27-28. Padres fans will be introduced to new manager Bud Black and can also enjoy a tour of the clubhouse and 30 interactive booths. Kids can clock the speed of their fastball in a bullpen session, run the bases and hang out in the dugout. In addition, the Padres semi-annual garage sale allows fans to purchase game-used bats and jerseys with all proceeds benefiting the Padres Foundation for Children.

The A's FanFest gears up for the start of the baseball season on Jan. 27 at McAfee Coliseum. Fans will get a sneak peek of the A's home away from home as they tour the team's clubhouse, umpire's room, weight room and home dugout. In addition, they can take a few swings in the batting cage under the tutelage of A's coaches and players, purchase game-worn jerseys of current and former A's players and coaches, participate in baseball 101 clinics that will teach kids and adults alike the fundamentals of the game, get photos with World Series trophies and enjoy music and interactive games. New manager Bob Geren, Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley and current coaches and players, such as Bobby Crosby, Chad Gaudin, Brad Halsey, Jason Windsor, Adam Melhuse are scheduled to sign autographs, participate in question-and-answer sessions and make appearances throughout the ballpark. The event also marks the first opportunity for fans to purchase individual tickets to all of the 2007 A's home games. All net proceeds from the event benefit the Oakland A's Community Fund...

She is a Dodger fan; she accepts ineptitude and inadequate play from her team.

Then again, maybe if the Dodgers spent more $$$$$$$$ on their payroll, they might beat someone.

    Friar Fest is this weekend.

    Planning on going Sunday.

I went to 2 A's Fan Fests. As they have been doing it much longer, it is much better organized. We had a blast doing the carnival games. I kicked *** smacking the rubber chicken into the bucket.

Red is your "Good" color, it makes you look oh so fine.

Then again after this season, you will be seeing red again, so we know you are used to it.
