Gotta love those auto pickers. Brooks and Eli drafted early. Saw people sign Portis early. Hell soemone picked up Priest Holmes and he's dead. Of course it doesnt hurt to pick first. LT is off the boards my friends.
Yeah, the Mods got took care of in this draft, y'all axt me!!:icon_evil: But nobody has!!:icon_sad: :icon_cry:
Don't feel too bad, wabbit; as has already been noted, someone got Priest Holmes!!:icon_tease: :icon_rofl:
I thought what I got to experience live was the draft was cool. A lot of question marks this year with a lot of changes. Will LJ be as good without Roaf? Will Alexander be as good with the changes to his team? Which sleeper will step up and produce... Stay tunes, two weeks till its fo reals!
Hey CONC... any way you can get rid of the team transaction limit? I think 8 waiver moves ALL SEASON LONG.. is a joke brother... especially in a 16 team league. You should make it unlimited... but still keep the waiver order intact.. Alot of people have multiple kickers and dead bodies on thier teams etc. Just some advice..
i noticed the max 8 add/drop rule and drafted accordingly... do not get rid of this rule. If you axed the rule before the draft, I would be indifferent, but at this point I believe it gives an interesting twist.
we have dead kickers becasue when our kicker's/def has a bye week, we do not have to waste add drops.
I agree...im running a 16 team league in Yahoo and i have made 5 moves already but we drafted in late July. still...8 with injuries that happen as they do is ridiculous, and dont tell me that you drafted accordingly whoever said that....you have no way of knowing who will get hurt on your team.
I met everyone half way. I set the limit on trades and roster moves to 20 each. They were 8 because I didnt take the time to look at them all when creating the league.
Well nobody was going to do 20 trades... so that wasnt needed, but 20 move in a season, thats not unheard of.. but still its an improvement.. Thanks Boss!
Damn, you're restrictin the number of trades and roster moves? I'm in trouble now. I'll make 20 roster moves before week one and have 20 trades at least by the half way point of the season.
Once again: ANQUAN BOLDEN is up for Grabs... I am looking for 2 B-level type WR's... If need be I can even send Randel El in for an extra body in needed. But my scenario is Two B's for an A. Get yourself a top flight Fantasy WR... for two mid level guys. Lets negotiate..
I am looking for another starting RB if anyone wants to make any offers. Gotta have someone else in the stable to backup LT.
B Wideouts are guys like Derrick Mason and or Issac Bruce. Which would be the perfect trade, but the dude who has those cats didnt want to part with em.. considering he had Burress, and he would be adding Bolden to that? Well thats just nuts... Oh well, I saw all the trade offers. I need to mull them over.
Frankly I wasnt all that impressed.. one common factor in all the trades I was offered, people are trying to peddle unproven guys on me.. Folks, here is a hint. I have been playing Fantasy Football for going on 7 years. I have won 3 championships.. I run a league and play in about 2 others each year.. Not to toot my own horn, but your not gonna get something for nothing from me. I need proven guys... two B's for an A... or at least a very solid B and a Really Dynamic up and Coming C... So far the magic isnt there.. but I will find it or I wont trade Bolden. The Search goes on.
I can understand i suppose but to me...the Cardinals now have Edge. They will be running more than they did last year so both Boldin and Fitz wont have as big of years.....but still good years. They shouldnt have to play from behind as much. Matt Jones imo is an up and coming C that you called him. He has good chemistry with Leftwich and Jimmy Smith is retired. Mason is going to get a lot of Balls thrown his way back with McNair so i like his prospects. This league is about only yards and TD's.....theres no points for catches which is what im used to. I actually like my lineup but thought id offer a trade. All my WR's are starters on their teams so although you said you are getting unproven guy offers ,all mine are starters and im pretty confident ive offered you the best deal. can understand about Reche.....its a love hate thing with Charger fans but i have a feeling if he stays healthy with Brady, he will have a good year. Thats why i picked him with the last pick and i understand he is a crap shoot but i didnt know what your idea of a B WR was either.....lol This aint my first rodeo either :icon_wink: Thats just where i was coming from.
I agree on the Edge factor in Arizona. He is good for 30-50 balls, they gotta come from somewhere... So your right, either Bolden or Fitz isnt going to have the solid year they had last year. But which one??? Fitz is dynamic and makes some amazing grabs, but Bolden is tough and is willing to go across the middle. I realize Matt Jones is an up and coming type guy, but Ernest Wilford is still a factor their and the Jax offense is less than dynamic... I totally agree with you on Mason, but his ceiling is like 1100-1200 yards and 8 TD.s TOPS.... he will catch alot of what Mcnair throws at him, but when all is said and done he is still a B-level Wideout. Its all good, I am fine with keeping Bolden.
Still looking for a Starting Running Back to back up LT. Here is my team. Obviously, LT and Palmer are not tradeable but everybody else could be used in a swap: Carson Palmer, Cin QB**Q LaDainian Tomlinson, SD RB David Givens, Ten WR**Q Chris Chambers, Mia WR**P Rod Smith, Den WR**P Muhsin Muhammad, Chi WR Todd Heap, Bal TE Bears D/ST, Chi D/ST Adam Vinatieri, Ind K**Q Eric Parker, SD WR**Q Vincent Jackson, SD WR**Q Alex Smith, SF QB Mike Alstott, TB RB Bubba Franks, GB TE Sebastian Janikowski, Oak K Titans D/ST, Ten D/ST Matt Schaub, Atl QB
So basically you want to trade your trash away? I'll give you Priest Holmes for Schaub, how about that?:icon_banana:
Ah, you're the one!! :icon_rofl: I'd hold onto him...the whole rsta the league'll look like dummies if he makes a comeback!!:icon_mrgreen:
