It is impossible to know how they would have done with Marty this year. Better, is my prediction. They probably would have won yesterday too. But one thing that Norv did establish: he can get up to speed quickly and is a great coach. He has proven the haters wrong.

The McNeill comment about "no sense going into crunch time with your butthold all tight" was very telling. Marty was so uptight in the playoffs that it wore off on the rest of the team.

I know that there have been some requests to close this thread, that it has run it's course. I'm thinking it has a couple of hundred more posts until we get there. Haven't you heard? His new "hobby" is collecting Norv memorabilia. He'll take anything he can get his hands on. I'm gonna go to Oakland and see if I can find him Norv's old whistle from his time as HC there.
