Our hosting provider for some unknown reason has suspended our account. We are looking into bring it back online and possibly moving it to another hosting site. This may affect our scheduled podcast this Thursday night. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thumper backing up the files to our bolttalk.net server as we speak. But still needs to find out tomorrow from our current bolttalk.com host what happened and if we can still keep it at our location. Either way we are hoping to have the site up and running asap.
Here's an update. It looks we may have been attacked. The front end at bolttalk.com went from normal traffic to extremely excessive traffic in a very short period of time. It appears that the attackers were hitting specific files on the bolttalk.com domain. This domain was hosted with a different hosting company than the forum and the bolttalk.net domain are located on. The cluster of servers that hosts the .net side is much more robust than the single shared server that the .com side was on. For that reason, I am going to go ahead and move the front page and the .com domain to the same cluster that the forum is on. I'll keep everyone updated.
ok everyone. Here's one more update. I've got everything backed up and I'm over 50% uploaded to the .net server. I'm doing this from my hotel with the connection here and it's not the fastest for upload. I need to get some sleep, so I'll let it upload while I'm sleeping and will try to install the database and configure it tomorrow when I get a chance. I don't know if that'll be before the evening, but I'll do the best I can. Thank you all for your patience.
Well, I didn't go right to sleep. I think I got the important stuff transferred. I just pointed the domain to the new server, but that will take some time to propagate so that everyone can see it. Hopefully the front page will be working completely for everyone sometime over the next 24 hours or so.
Propagation hasn't finished for me at the hotel yet. Hopefully this will happen today for everyone. There may be a few things that still need to be fixed also, but we'll be up 100% soon.
Looks like the front page is good on this server. Photogallery is still down, but I will try to fix that tonight.
Glad everything is up and running again. Gotta wonder if those idiots were going for the forum and took out the front page instead... :lol: Not that I think taking out the front page is funny.... Just laughing at the stupidity of the "hackers" :icon_mrgreen:
