Agreed. I've boycotted Papa Johns for reasons I won't say here.

Papa John is a douche and I too boycott his piece of crap restaurant - but the idea of players using corporate sponsors as audibles IS football discussion b/c it's happening.

I'm willing to go on the record: Their pizza doesn't taste very good.

p.s. Actually, It was Eagle players having a cheap laugh (my favorite kind!)
    http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/20...rs-were-yelling-papa-johns-at-peyton-manning/

    Actually, Peyton's calls were:
    "Pink! Salmonella!Pink! Salmonella"
and the Eagles just responeded naturally...like word association, with: "Papa Johns!"

ah! that's funny. Apparently it was the eagles shouting 'Papa John Papa John" as Peyton was calling an audible. Peyton is the proud owner of several dozen Papa John franchises in Colorado.

and yeah, their pizza is crap.

I think it might be because Peyton owns some Papa John's franchises in Denver. So it might be some free advertising at the NFL's expense.

They have the worst chicken wings I've ever had. But I've met John Schnatter and I don't understand all the hate.

Just some examples of his douchery. But to keep with the football theme of the post...um,
I'd rather eat a football than anything pieced together in one of his "restaurants" (I use this term very loosely).
But hey, poor people are the least of our worries.

    GO BOLTS!!!:bolt2:

So can I expect Charger fans to start chanting "CUT THAT MEAT!" at Manning next game?

I also don't understand how changing Papa John's is any kind of insult but whatever, I'm not as 'special' as philly fans are

Do you understand why Papa John is a douchebag? Hint: it isn't the quality of his product - although that DOES suck.

Apparently because he's no fan of Obamacare and he's made a lot of money. I guess that makes me half a douchebag.

Actually, his stated hostility towards the Affordable Care Act (are we still allowed to call it by it's name, media?)
is just kinda the tip of the iceberg. If you look at his whole life, he just doesn't come off as someone that I
personally (or a lot of the people he's worked with) would want to be around.

Fortunately, I really haven't had to decide whether or not I want to feed his empire,
because I just find Papa John's pizza to be bad tasting. I generally love pizza. If I could only have one
food for the rest of my life, it would probably be pizza...especially since there's a gazillion outlets that make it
so many different wonderful ways. PJ is the only one that just doesn't ever taste quite right.

Though they've never given me their trademark "ni**er" or "lady chinky eyes" service (I'm a white male)...the last time
circumstances forced me to give PJ's 'one more try,' the label on the pizza box said something bizarre like
"Your pizza prepared by Christ" or something very similar...no, I'm not joking (and yes, Schnatter is evangelical)
I did a double-take...and just hoped that their computer label didn't have enough room for "Christopher"
or some other mundane explanation that wouldn't make me wonder what the Hell was going on...
(that was a Super Bowl Sunday 3.666 years ago...and I've been a bit curious to ask someone at PJ "What's up with that?" but honestly, not enough to go back, when the pizza ain't worth it)
    *****************************************************

EDIT: Okay, I'm home now, and found the pic: "Your pizza experience managed by Christ"
(googling "Your pizza experience managed by..." confirms that mine was not a fluke or a typo)
    Papa John Christ-managed Pizza 2:7:10.png
I don't know...maybe I'd feel a little better about this if I thought it were a quality product...I'd be surprised if Jesus wants to be linked to this.
Would a "Jesus wants you to add a 2-liter bottle of Coke Zero" sticker still be okay in Schnatterland? Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

Zappy's Pizza in National City > Papa John's.

Whatever the case may be, I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches made that an audible call to rib Manning. I know I'd do something like that if I were helping to put together that playbook.

Fans know San Diego Chargers center Nick Hardwick for his trademark tattoo sleeve but soon, he may be sharing much, much more.

According to a published report in Advertising Age, Hardwick is one of four NFL players who have signed up to help market flushable wet wipes.

Dollar Shave CEO Mike Dubin was quoted as saying the company chose the centers to help promote “One Wipe Charlies” because of the ad campaign’s slogan a “Clean Snap.”

Hardwick joins three other centers - Travis Frederick of the Dallas Cowboys; John Sullivan of the Minnesota Vikings and Eric Wood of the Buffalo Bills – according to the report.

Perhaps Nick started using this product at someone's behest?
