This guy is a good football player, smart football player. Some guys have it in the head and some just don't. Bullet time has it....oh, and a new nick name
Glad to see the kid get a chance & step up to the role. He's been through a helluva lot to reach this point. Kudos to Boonah!!
I am so happy for and proud of this young man. I hope he keep getting opportunities to help the team get better.
His performance last night made me wonder why he hasn't seen the field more often, and why Jordan Todman was originally kept at his expense, but rarely if ever even used. As much as people are pointing to Darren Sproles' resurgence in New Orleans and stating how much we miss him, I'm kinda surprised & quite disappointed that we are not seeing screens attempted to guys like Brinkley or Todman this season.
Brinkley I believe was injured towards the end of pre season. I did not see him in pads or helmet at practices. So I believe that Todman, having the Coaches eye got the nod. Brinkley did a lot last night to cement some 'sproles-esque' playing time, but will have to have several games like last night to be a solid keeper. I think he can do it!
Good for him, he got a chance and he came out and showed up bigtime. The young man has overcome a lot to be here so it's nice to see him having some success.
At first I didnt even notice it was him in and not RM makin the over the top TD score. Which was one of a few of the plays I think Norv took directly off the field ala monkey see monkey do. We jus coulndt let Battle be the only RB to dive over the top for a TD.
At first I was like, "who?" Then I was like, "who knew?" Finally I was like, "F U!!!" *fist shake* The evolution of a star from an opponents perspective.
I know he was almost the last running back standing but did anyone else think it crazy that the playcalling put so much on him those last few mins. The catch down at the 2, the TD, the 2 point conversion..... Why Boonah, why were we not looking at other players to catch the ball, more experienced guys. I like Boonah, don't get me wrong, and I am delighted he showed what he is capable of. But what if he had dropped the 2 point conversion pass?. People would be questioning WTF, why not go for Gates or VJ etc?. AJ got away with one bigtime here. I mean the guy has been bounced from PS to street to the roster. At the most critical moment Norv calls plays for him?. If he had that much faith why the F ain't he on the team before now where he cannot be pilfered by another team?. Just another example of abominable personnel mgmt?.
