    Calvin Johnson is awesome.

Now I am on record as being the first to talk about him in the draft forum. :icon_banana:

I second that all the way.

If the Calvin Johnson that I think he is then sign me up for the bandwagon a large WR from Georgia Tech with him being 6' 4" and 4.4 speed with great leaping ability, hands and excellent body control.:icon_eek:

I hope that he declares for the 2007 draft being a JR. and I pray that the Chargers can pick him up he will be a great pick up and maybe a No. 1 WR to boot.

I would like to join the official early-recognizers of Calvin Johnson's awesomeness. Dude can ball.

early draft reports put him higher then any WR even the Shark, Ted Ginn Jr and Jarrett. If he can have that great season, then the only way we'll get him outside of a big trade is to have a crappy season

Calvn Johnson is another big receiver with speed and leaping ability. Good body control while in the air. No doubt this kid is a baller. His speed is impressive and he can really stretch the field. He's got great timing on his leaps for the ball. It's hard to come up with negatives, except maybe that he's only a Junior and could use more time at the collegiate level. Still that's a weak negative. If he comes out for the 2007 draft, he'll be one of the top WR prospects. I know I'm not offering much insight here, but what else is there to say about this kid? Could easliy be a top ten pick. Perhaps higher.

You need to get on the Calvin Johnson bandwagon Leisure.

How did this guy escape your radar? We've all been gaga over this kid for several years now.

Your USC man-love for Reggie and BMW must have jammed your college radar on this one.

Calvin Johnson is the real deal. I'm guessing he'll run around a 4.5 at the combines. He's fast but not blazing fast. He's a bigger Larry Fitzgerald, IMO. Great hands. Great body control. Too bad we'll have no shot of drafting him.

Sidney will be a typical Spurrier product, IMO. Solid athlete, but his production will be largely a part of the system and not necessarily his own talent. We'll see, though. I reserve the right to change my mind as I get to see more of these guys.

    Hey leisure-

I know you have the man love for USC kids. What do think abouth this guy?
-Sam Baker, OL, USC, 6'5" - 305lbs. (Junior)
    http://usctrojans.cstv.com/sports/m-...ker_sam00.html
Winston Justice may play LT in the NFL, but at USC Baker already had that spot locked down. He has the size and athleticism to play LT in the NFL. USC lost several OL players in this draft, so this season will be pivitable to see if Baker can solidify a young OL group.

BTW Pete Carrol was on Scott & BR this morning. He mentioned all the talent that left to the NFL. He also mentioned Baker as a leader on the OL.

Thank you, thank you... I do it for you guys. I am just a fan that likes to keep an eye out for the other fans. When I saw this kid I was like "Wow! I should give the heads up at Bolttalk about this guy".

No need to thank me, leisure. I'm just glad I could help. :icon_tease:

All that I know is that in the draft forum of this website I was the first to bring him up. You can run a search of the draft forum here if you like, but I don't think that you'll like the results. :icon_banana:

    Major props to me!!!

Calvin Johnson By far is the class of this class at WR. We will not get Calvin HOWEVER I didnt like Ted Ginn Jr coming into this year, but watching him play he might be the fastest guy in NCAA. He has good hands and can flat out fly!

Calvin, Ted Ginn, Jarrett, Sidney Rice.... Top 4 WR!
Peterson, Slaton, Lynch Top 3 RB!
Quinn, Stanton, Tate Top 3 QB
Posluzny, Gaines Adams, Merriweather, Moses Top 4 D
