But, do you want the Bolts to draft him above all others at all other positions?

I think he's a great young player too but at this point in time, I'm not certain if WR is the position I'd want them to use a first round pick on? Considering that we'll lose both starting ILB's after this season ends, that may be the position of greater need.

You're right, but I was the first person to mention him in the draft forum on this site. And that can't be disputed. :icon_banana:

Here's another little WR to look at -
      #4 Jaison Williams WR 6-5 243

Still in the first quarter at Arizona St. and Williams has 7 catches for 101 yards and 2 TD's. He's a Soph.

"The Champ" is really "The Chump". Anyone too stupid to see that a thread by the exact same name was already created and still thought it was a good idea is either a dope or full of himself. Or both.

        Chump.

I listened to the ND broadcast of the game vs. Purdue this past week, and the Irish announcers said THE BEST WR they've seen this year is NOT Calvin.

        It is Selwyn Lymon.

        He's only a Sophomore.

          Thats a little WR?

Of course i like Calvin Johnson , Sidney Rice, Ginn and Jarrett but another WR i like for round two is Dwayne Bowe of LSU who is 6'3", 217.
Kid has a ton of talent and since he had his laser surgery on his eyes in the offseason, he is catching everything.

Ohhhh God calling me "the Chump" really hurts my feelings. Please do not call me that again, I might cry. This all coming from guy with the name of Electric Chair. How about I send you to one.....Nothing better to do than sit on here and rip fellow fans of a team you like. Shows how much character you have. I read some of your posts and talk about a chump, I will go back to them and I will expose how much you really dont know about football.

I see CollegeFootballNews rated CALVIN the Mid-season Offensive Player of the "Year" in the ACC... he's having an All-American season...

can't wait for the Merriweather matchup on Sat. 10/28/2006 – Miami @ Georgia Tech…

Young Spiller's the star of this game.

Evidently, if you double-team Calvin Johnson, he becomes ordinary.

so does Chad Johnson... but it's worse when your QB can't get you the ball - Reggie SUXX unlike Carson Palmer...

Oh i agree...Reggie Ball isnt close to a NFL caliber QB and in fact its amazing what he has done with Ball throwing to him.

C-mon Slug, you should know better than to make a statement like that.

Well, with the way CJ's been hyped recently, I thought any dude off the street could just throw it in his general area and he'd muscle his way for the reception.

The "other" Johnson caught 7 passes from that same bad QB. It wasn't all the QB. Calvin hasn't done much in the two games I saw him in. It's making me wonder if he's as good as he hype. I doubt it really makes any difference to us Charger fans though because AJ is more likely to draft for the defense and o-line anyway.

that's been the problem... Ball can't hit the barn with a nuke... :icon_rofl: let's see if that changes Saturday...

Sat. 10/28/2006 - (UNR) Miami (5-2, 164/89) @ (21) Georgia Tech (5-2, 179/128 - 12:30 pm PST ABC - the “playoff” for the ACC Coastal division… Key Match-up: Brandon Meriweather v CALVIN… assuming Reggie Ball will throw CALVIN the ball...

Miami - See 9/4 Draft Preview… the U gets the "thugs" back after a 1 game suspension, and are riding a 5 game win streak...

Georgia Tech - See 9/2 Draft Preview… A QB who can throw would be nice… maybe Chan will install a RB option pass..

True but he was throwing to him nearly every throw.

Calvin only had about 4 or 5 thrown his way and being double covered...a bad QB isnt going to make plays to you. The ONE time i thought CJ had a chance to make a catch, it was on a slant and Ball threw it behind him.

Jarrett isnt so great without Leinart either is he.

If AJ drafts an OL in the first round i think ill pass out from joy.

There are a couple of 2nd round WR's i really like as well
