San Diego
Reche Caldwell vs. Eric Parker, receiver

Caldwell showed some early flashes last season, but he went down with an injury, ending his season with the Chargers. Parker stepped in and led the team in receptions with 47. Parker did a nice job getting down the field, showing off his deep speed as he averaged 14.7 yards per catch. With Keenan McCardell slated to start on one side, these two will battle it out on the other side.

Edge: Caldwell. He was the starter before the injury, and you don't lose jobs to injury in the NFL. At least that's the adage.

Opening-day starter: Caldwell. He's just a more fluid player and seemed to be coming into his own before the injury last season.
