It is just about as frustrating as the Coryell era. They were damn good teams but there was always something screwing them up. Back then it was our defenses or Gene Klein going cheap on John Jefferson or some stupid **** which would want to make you bust windows and kick the cat. :icon_evil:

This year I am resigned to just having a good time and fuk it. What happens - happens. :icon_party:

Today really sucks for me as I keep thinking that I spent $300 for my wife and I to go to my first Chargers game ever and that was the performance that I got to see.

    Not really.

I got tempered under the Harland Svare era so if a Chargers fan could endure that ****, we can endure anything.

You were a giant until the 3rd quarter started. At least you got to see our boys live and witness records which will probably live for a long long time.

Even if we wax the Colts, it does not erase the **** games we have played.

Yes, I now owe my wife multiple favors for making her wear a jersey to the game. Didn't hear a word from any Vikings fans until after the game was over then they started running their mouths about how Peterson was the #1 RB in the NFL not LT.

There were actually a lot more Chargers fans there than I expected.

I have a new resolution, my brothers of the gaters...I will endeaver to get lit as all hell for the games, and just roll with it. No high expectations, just watching and enjoying some Chargers football, win or lose. Are you with me?

I love the idea and the spirit behind it but it's so hard for any one of us to sit and watch **** football and not complain about it. Although I will not be at the game, I will try and follow suit with your suggestion, at least is practiced correctly i could calm my nerves and stop kicking my dog around with this horrible temper i get every time we stink the field up.

So instead of just being angry I'm going to be drunk AND angry? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

If you're an angry drunk, don't drink. I'm a happy drunk, so it works out for me.

It would have been easier to "bump" one of the 299 "Fire Norv" threads started by B4Life.

We let them convert 3 (or 4?) 3rd downs on that last drive started with 7:00 left. Our D sucks without Merriman. No QB pressure. My first game of the year is next week against the Cassel-led Patriots. We'd better fuq them up.

Dang this thread rose from the depths! :icon_tease: I might have to evaluate going with last year's plan, just getting lit. It seemed to work back then.

...As was mentioned above, easier said than done. I've been a sports fan my entire life and played with a passion and effort far above my actual athletic ability. I have never..NOT ONCE, been accused of not putting out at 100%. I'm a white boy who grew as an undersized skinny kid in a 95% black school filled with bigger and faster kids. Incredibly, I was always one of the first chosen for teams simply because those dudes knew what they'd get out of me. It would be nice to see some heart from this team. Sometimes you have to reach deep down inside, get up when you're knocked down. I actually got sick to my stomach yesterday watching the lack of effort and intensity. Watching Norv's silly, confused and rain soaked face on the sidelines. Watching Fat Teddy's comical attempt to fire up his demoralized, pansy defense. If ever there was an example of "the team plays at the same level of intensity as their coaches"..this is it! I wish I could just sit back, watch a game, down a few and leave it at that. Not possible, for me at least!

We all need to draw a lot of inspiration from the quoted post.
