Again... just rarely happens (i.e. I'll believe it when I see it).

        A. Its a problem, no doubt about it, has been for awhile, coupled along with a FO and team of talent evaluators that have lost the ability to see what type of players work in todays NFL. This isn't a problem created by ONE single person, its the Franchise itself that has become complacent over the last 6 years.

        B. This isn't Golf with a group of buddies where you get mulligans Matti, its a business, where you get 2 days per year to pick your future stars and role players and a time where castoffs and those looking to cash in on early career performances are available and you get ONE shot to make it count or you don't, fairly simple recipe.

Miss on those Golden picks (as we have very consistently of late), continue to sink money into the C- / D FA pool (ditto) and you have a Charger's team ala 2009-2011. Never take a chance on "game-changing" FA's and mediocracy will be the fate you have chosen and we fans will forever sit around and ponder why on forums and so forth, never being privy as too why, but nonetheless deterred from asking the questions anyway.

        C. OK, see we can agree on the Steve Gregory comparison, 100% types that have limited upside are a dime a dozen and a ST's type at best, where and how is "The Mayor" doing these days by the way ?
And seriously ...."Chill" ? Does my name alone not give you the impression that I am anything but "chill" ? [IMG]
So by asking for One 1st tier and One 2nd tier FA, that by your estimation would be "blowing the wad" and wouldn't classify as a "sprinkle ? ........... well, thats the chance we need to take if you expect us to rise above mediocracy, seeing as those teams you mentioned above are obviously much more adept at "building through the draft" than we could ever hope for, wouldn't you agree !

            A) All true. But that doesn't make the "Stars and scrubs" route the right one, instant gratification is rarely the right way to go about running a business.

            B) Again you seem to be angling towards the stars and scrubs roster strategy, and I think you underestimate how much each FA is going to cost. You think people complain about our lack of depth now?:roflmao: The Colts tried this and the only reason it worked is because of Peyton Manning.........now look at them, worst team in the league because the talent they paid is aging and they have no depth.

            C) Yes. Because they hired the right people to do the drafting, and to develop the talent. We are currently in possession of neither.
