I ask this because my heritage is Scottish an my grandfather's birthplace was Eaglesham. That was also his last name.

I live around 30 miles from Eaglesham. It's a small rural village on the outskirts of Scotlands largest city Glasgow.

Good to hear you've some good Scottish blood coursing around in your veins. (BTW we're not all like Groundskeeper Willie from the Simpsons!!).
You'll need to get over here and play some golf, drink some whisky and find your Grandads birthplace!

It might be time to do a 'BoltTalk members coming to London' roll call!!!.

Here are the ones I am sure are coming (Bolttalk members), myself, BFUK (+1), English (+1), Osmekaman (+2), Alpenbolt (+1) and Cranberry (not sure if he is bringing other half?). Others include Shabba and Essex Charger.

On a sidenote isn't it funny that the drink in Scotland is whisky, in Ireland it is whiskey.

I will take you up on your offer. I always thought it would be cool to see my grandfather's birth place and maybe meet some relatives for the first time.

My grandfather was deffinetly not "Groundskeeper Willie." More like "Wolverine!!!"

I've heard that golf over there is much different than golf here. That would be cool!!! And I'm always up for some whiskey!!!

Anytime B4L. i'm always here and, much like the Irish, the Scots know how to party.
As you can see, I have now adopted the worlds most famous Scotsman as an avatar.
Golf over here is like US golf, but with a special ingredient - WEATHER (rain, hail, wind usually).

Finally on the whisky theme, I know a guy who bottles special orders and makes label graphics up to suit. May be an idea to help celebrate the 2008 World Champion San Diego Chargers.
