Hey Ant... who is the other Scottish Charger fan?, just wondering?.
Us Brits know good Football when we see it
Thank you ALL for the welcome to the party.
Dublin Bolt: How many are in your London Posse now??
If we count your 3 we have 14 I reckon (that includes Cranberry - a german poster here).
are we all staying in the Ibis?
i would've sworn we had another scottish charger fan, might've been mistaken but can't think of him now.
Yeah....... I can't think of anyone. We have 'Cranberry' which might sound a tad scottish, but he is German.
ok i'm an idiot, please continue welcoming the new people :icon_tease:
Dublin Bolt / All London Attendees
it's early, but the excitement is rising. Do you have any clue as to the location of our "Charger Central" on Gameday?
By any chance, do you live by "Eaglesham?"
I ask this because my heritage is Scottish an my grandfather's birthplace was Eaglesham. That was also his last name.
I live around 30 miles from Eaglesham. It's a small rural village on the outskirts of Scotlands largest city Glasgow.
Good to hear you've some good Scottish blood coursing around in your veins. (BTW we're not all like Groundskeeper Willie from the Simpsons!!).
You'll need to get over here and play some golf, drink some whisky and find your Grandads birthplace!
Good to hear from you.
any chance we can work out a system where we ehre in the US send you charger stuff and you pay in return with small distillery scottish whisky??? I got hooked on that stuff years ago in Edinburgh.:icon_party:
That sounds like one excellent idea.
You won't believe me, but I actually work in a whisky bottling plant and they throw the stuff at me. And I hate the taste of it!!
you are about to become my new best friend you magnificent bastard!!! :icon_rofl:
I feel honoured to be called a magnificent bastard.
Look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.
How you doin?!
Another whisky lover??
Here's the deal - let me know who's all coming and I'll bring some samples down to London to lubricate the tailgate!
It might be time to do a 'BoltTalk members coming to London' roll call!!!.
Here are the ones I am sure are coming (Bolttalk members), myself, BFUK (+1), English (+1), Osmekaman (+2), Alpenbolt (+1) and Cranberry (not sure if he is bringing other half?). Others include Shabba and Essex Charger.
There are another 3 on top of this list in 'my posse'.
On a sidenote isn't it funny that the drink in Scotland is whisky, in Ireland it is whiskey.
Are there any of our friends from the Mother Country (US) coming?
most of us in/near San Diego are going to a bar in Vegas to watch the game as its a bit too pricey to go across the pond to England. Still we are counting on you all to represent us
Is there any possibility that you will lose more in Vegas than you would spend coming to the UK?!
I will take you up on your offer. I always thought it would be cool to see my grandfather's birth place and maybe meet some relatives for the first time.
My grandfather was deffinetly not "Groundskeeper Willie." More like "Wolverine!!!"
I've heard that golf over there is much different than golf here. That would be cool!!! And I'm always up for some whiskey!!!
Anytime B4L. i'm always here and, much like the Irish, the Scots know how to party.
As you can see, I have now adopted the worlds most famous Scotsman as an avatar.
Golf over here is like US golf, but with a special ingredient - WEATHER (rain, hail, wind usually).
Finally on the whisky theme, I know a guy who bottles special orders and makes label graphics up to suit. May be an idea to help celebrate the 2008 World Champion San Diego Chargers.
Osmekaman, you are going to be one popular fella Thanks for your support of the Chargers to all of our friends across the pond.
Oh Dublin Bolt - instead of Scottish I would prefer Welsh
if I had to choose a UK-country, .... but let's say there's
some celtic heritage, because they ruled the northern part
of Europe before Christ.
