Home opener on Monday night vs. Houston, good.

Don't play a divisional opponent until week 5?

That's the league trying to save divisional games for later in the season for higher ratings. Nice thing is we close the season with two home games. And 4 out of the last 5 games are home games. So the likelihood of harsh winter/snow games isn't present aside from @ Denver in Week 15.

Damn another Monday night opener... Well at least we know it will be a home televised game, since it is prime time. Its odd we got another Monday night vs Indy, they certainly deserve it with Luck, but we don't. Plus, there is no rivalry against Indy w/o Manning.

I hope somehow we can be in the position to flex into the Sunday night game to beat up on Eli Manning, to show him he made the wrong choice in not wanting to come to SD. [\sarcasm]

I am very happy with this schedule.

    The bad:
    - Monday opener means no benefit of a long week before the game, only the negative of a short week after.
    - Back loaded home schedule could spell some boring games if we are no good. (Man those could be some EMPTY games against KC and Oakland)
    - A lot more 10am games then normal/recent. Not usually our strength.

    The good:
    - Very happy with two home Monday night games
    - Well paced with home games and easier/harder road opponents.
    - Good middle of season bye week with road games on both sides.
    - If we stay in the hunt, back loaded home schedule could be a big boost.
    - Only possible snow games (equalizer) are against key divisional opponents.
    - No chance of blackout until December, and if they are winning maybe none at all.

    Overall, I'm pleased.

ECry can ride his defense to 10 Super Bowls and it won't change the fact that he was a whiny little punk with a sense of entitlement because of his last name. Add in the fact that he had to get his daddy involved, and he remains the biggest jerkoff in the history of the NFL.

Addenda: Who STILL hasn't beaten San Diego.

We should be 4-3 heading into the bye..

BUT anything could happen. Just with the talent we have, any predictions in mid-April is just foolish. A lot can happen between now and the season opener.

    SWEET!

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9188557/what-does-nfl-schedule-tell-us-2013

So cut to the chase: Looking at the schedule, what team is going to win the Super Bowl?
Consider this quirk: The past four teams the Eagles have hosted in their home opener -- New Orleans in 2009, Green Bay in 2010, the Giants in 2011 and Baltimore in 2012 -- all went on to win the Super Bowl. Coincidence?
So the San Diego Chargers, who will play at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 2, are going to win the Super Bowl.
    I'm kidding. Or am I?

I gotta say I dont like playing both Mannings back to back in the span of 4 days.... And after that its 2 division rival opponents who one of which WILL be challenging for a Norv Era-like late season 9-7 record push and could make the Den matchup all the more important for division rank and possibly the division or a WC spot.

And my biggest worry year to year that makes me tune into this *event* that is the Season Schedule Release day is in fact the number of games that my team will have to play at noon in more than a 2 timezone leap.

As said we are not very good in these games, and it seems that the Schedulers also like to put us up against the fence to prove the odds wrong every now and then. Id love to see a year like *was it 06?* where we ended up with 4 noon games on the East coast *or was it 5* and we walked away with 4 wins.

I was hoping I'd get to see the Chargers play the Giants at Metlife this year, but I don't mind taking the short trek to Philly to watch them there.

New coaches, new players, new system. No way to predict how this team will stack up against any team in the league. We also play 3 teams that have new coaches. I will though predict that we will win at least one game and not go to the Super Bowl. ;)

Unfortunately I totally have a sense of self-entitlement and am pretty arrogant for some reason.
