Desperation will cause people to do many questionable things. Just look at Trumpet's post history for confirmation of that sad fact. For the record, I doubt there's a team in the league that would shy away from "hitting Cassel in the abdominal region." If it's a legal hit and he can't take it, he shouldn't be out there.
That happens with every QB. If KC knew that Rivers was playing on a bum ankle or with a sore shoulder, they would be targeting it. That is part of the game. It doesn't mean cheap shots will be taken, but you can still hit some clean and cause the guy to leave the game
