According to Bill Williamson of ESPN The Chargers’ Dec. 23 game at the Jets has been flexed out of the Sunday night time slot. It now starts at 1 p.m. ET. The 49ers-Seahawks game takes its place.
Kind of a no-brainer from a program director's view - but it doesn't change the fact that yet another west coast team gets screwed into an early start after travelling east - East Coast teams are sure getting the overall advantage on coast-to-coast travel gametimes this year. All part of the design, and $ continues to rule.
Good, I'll be in New York for xmas this year, wasn't looking forward to the 8:30pm start time, staying up til 11:30!
Bummer. being in Colorado I hardly ever get to see the bolts on tv. was looking forward to this one. but it's par for the course.
Let's see, suck fest featuring the Chargers and Jets, or a game with playoff implications. hard call that one.
I now wouldn't be surprised if we give out the better game. I can see the seahawks game being a tie with how the 9ers play.
Great..... get to see the game at a respectable time. (is that really all that great considering how shite both teams are?)
I wonder if the seats in Jets stadium will be as good as the Murph when it comes to masquerading as people?
Actually, I'm relieved. Because for five seconds after first reading Chargers lose the Sunday Night Game... --given the season we've endured--my thoughts were: "Oh Jesus, REALLY Chargers?!? You've already found a way to lose a game that hasn't even started yet?!? Norval?? That's it!! Even I can't defend this, brother!! Okay, I'm finally off this freakin' bandwagon!!!" After realizing the kickoff was just moved...well...I guess I'm in a bit longer ('til they crush my heart)
Wow, at first I had a real conflict. I was scheduled to attend a night at the opera on the 23rd and I would have had to miss watching the game. Whew! Crisis averted...
