@D_Alexander84I'm signing with the San Diego Chargers!!! God is great! Michael Gehlken @UTgehlken Former Rams wide receiver Danario Alexander announced on Twitter he's agreed to terms with Chargers. Ht: 6' 5" Wt: 217 Age: 24 Born: 8/7/1988, Marlin, TX College: Missouri NFL Experience: 3rd season Of course, he burned Cason for a TD, but who hasn't? Danario Alexander says he’s signing with the Chargers Posted by Josh Alper on October 18, 2012, 6:45 PM EDT Wide receiver Danario Alexander’s career never blossomed in St. Louis because of endless injury problems, but it appears he’ll get another chance in San Diego. Alexander tweeted Thursday that he is signing a contract with the Chargers, ending a period of unemployment that started when the Rams cut him at the end of the preseason. Alexander recently worked out for the Bills, but will wind up with San Diego as they return from their bye next week to start trying to distance themselves from Monday night’s second half debacle agains the Broncos. At 6-foot-5 with great athleticism, Alexander would have been a highly valued prospect coming out of Missouri if not for his incessant knee issues. He wound up going undrafted and signed with the Rams, for whom he played 18 games and caught 46 passes in 2010 and 2011. With Vincent Brown out at least a little while longer, there’s a spot that Alexander could use to make a case for sticking around. The Chargers have talked about scaling their offense back in the coming weeks in an effort to eliminate the turnovers that fueled the aforementioned second half debacle, however, and it remains to be seen how that decision will wind up impacting their receiving corps.
Odd. Does this mean Vincent Brown isn't on track? What do we do with all our other WRs? I have more questions than answers on this one...
4 minute career highlight reel with 1 minute and 20 seconds worth of professional games, Welcome to the team. haha All joking aside, If he can stay healthy I would be happy to see him out there for us. He looks like he at least fights for jump balls
What, you mean when your QB throws one up and its not perfectly in your hands your supposed to make an attempt at it? Our receivers would beg to differ my friend.
Im there with Skuzzlebutt, What does this mean? why another WR? clearly has to be for Brown but, then again................ For all we know this could be another Reggie Wells sign and release on game day sort of thing
Why another WR?........ because Meachem isn't big, and he rarely gets open. Williams has size, which is something we lost when Jackson left.
I thought the issue with Meachem and Royal was they were failing to get proper separation? Last I checked the reason why Alexander couldn't make the Rams roster this season was because he couldn't get separation. He's slow as molasses, but he's big - problem is the guy never really learned how to play as a possession receiver. If we were going to sign another WR, why not someone with return ability (and half a brain to take a knee when where you're catching the ball is damn near the back of the end zone) so that Goodman can't be sent on his merry way. I mean, hell, I'd have taken Crayton or Washington back before Alexander - since they already knows the playbook and at least have some sense of chemistry with Rivers already. I just don't get this signing.
I like Denario and all... but man the guy is as IP as CBustD was. Hes a mean fighter for the ball that is for sure. I beleive hes a decent route runner, but Im not too high on him here. I could as well watched him blossom/bust as a Bill. Shows u how much I been payin attention to the Rams this year. Lol other than pickin them to beat Wash, cant say I have thought more about them. How bout that Ram D?? Where the Hell did the Ram O go??
Bring in a guy with chronic knee issues ..... this should definitely put us over the top. Is LeBron available? On a serious note - how about we activate this big tall guy named Ladarius Green who is already on the squad?
Why Whats wrong with Vincent Jackson? Did someone know something? So does this mean the Sproles is going to be over every down back?
we need help on the lines, so I guess that means we need to sign another wide receiver. Man I sure am glad that we have our priorities straight.
I agree, the bolt's already have two guys that don't know which way to turn what good is it to add another?
Maybe in AJ's mind it looks like he is trying to do something to help fix the offense. So if the problem on the offense is the receivers are not getting a perfectly thrown ball thrown to them, they cant hold on to it. So lets go get some more receivers because they might be able to move their hands after they get open.
I'd think AJ would want to get the man throwing the ball all the protection he can. Unfortunately there isn't anywhere to go shopping for offensive linemen that would be much better if at all. Maybe, they're going to go all tackle eligible and send 6 guys out on every pass play?
if this doesn't work I guess the next step will to be sign another punter as scifres leg is going to fall off.
So let's sign another guy with no chemistry with Rivers..... GREAT! If Rivers doesn't trust Meachem and Royal through months of throwing them the ball in practice how the hell will he trust this guy? Just cause he's 6'5?
I don't get why the Chargers are signing this guy instead of all the Hall of Fame talent that's still available to sign that didn't sign anywhere during the offseason for who knows what reason.
we could always get a new grounds crew to make the field smaller, thus giving us less field to cover.
