The San Diego Chargers agreed to a four-year contract with veteran offensive tackle Jeromey Clary on Tuesday.

General manager A.J. Smith identified Clary as a priority and they'll keep the former sixth-round pick in the fold for a deal worth at least $20 million according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

Clary gives the Chargers a good deal of continuity. His re-signing means all eight players who started a game for them in 2010 are back this season.

He could be the first in a number of Chargers' potential free agents to return. The team expects to offer a competitive contract to coveted free safety Eric Weddle, who has drawn interest from at least five other teams, including Dallas and Jacksonville.

The Chargers are well under the salary cap of just over $120 million even after wide receiver Vincent Jackson confirmed he was likely to sign his franchise free agent offer this week.

Inside linebacker Kevin Burnett(notes) remains a priority but falls in line somewhere behind Weddle.
