Agreed. And I hope this sends a message to the rest of the players on the defense that bad and finger pointing simply will not due.

Took too long to happen imho. He was a cut man walking for ages. By all accounts he was a great guy to know, so I wish him and his family well, I just don't believe he was ever NFL quality.

Now..... let's see ya Ellison. The job is yours to go get.

K Ellison played in the Miami game, but then not at Pitt. Any idea why?

I am glad he got caught. Worst starting safety in the league. Fact is rookies just drafted played much better than him.

I am thinking there could be another one or two moves before Friday...

    Just my gut feeling.

I think Hart was more or less a shot across the bow of complacent players.

Whatever... the bye week sure came at an excellent time for us this year with all considered. If it meant extra practice time for Ellison... great.

It's a move lots of friends were waiting for. But getting out one guy don't turns the season around. He's not the only one playing lower than exspectations.

Ian Scott is just a little help. All men have to step up and realize what's at stake. Only surprising playcalling and constant tackles will bring a win versus the newcreated McBroncos.

Who else would u classify as 'complacent' Conc?.

Cro for sure but no way he gets cut when somebody might see some value in him out there. Hart had zero value.

Somebody like Cesaire maybe?. Tucker perhaps?.

While many may have seemed a bit complacent eg. Dielman and Cooper I don't see many more being cut like this. Unless ofcourse we need to make room for a big body we bring in eg. Montgomery from DC.

Complacent doesn't seem consistent with Dielman's character. There must be something else wrong with him. Complacent takes the money the Seahags offered him.

I know from me this is going to shock but here it goes.

I am sad we cut Hart the Way the Chargers did to resign Ian Scott to the Team.

I would have hoped for a trade perhaps but I am not complaining just sad is all.

Hart was a good asset for the Chargers Team as it lasted.

More necessary than whom to throw out is: Who's coming on board. Is there a real deal to make ? AJ has to show up.

I heart the teams interested in Hart were in San Diego. The Temptations were looking at him, but he didn't want to play a backup role.

I'm glad he is gone. Too many F-Ups by him. Maybe they cut him because AJ has something else in the works, but at the very least, I would have kept him for depth, in case Gregory, or even Ellison goes down.

Someone will pick up Hart soon.

    Depth!?..........

U gotta be kiddin. We have Spillman and Oliver there already. Imho Hart was the 6th best safety on this team. Gone not a moment too soon. Move on.

I will be surprised if Hart gets 'picked up soon' and even if he does he won't see much playing time wherever he goes. He cannot cover whatsoever, takes terrible angles in run defense and even if he gets close to a ball carrier he is an awful tackler. Been saying it for yrs, nowhere near NFL quality.

Happy, no. It's what's best for the team at this point in time.

Happy, not really, I hate to see anyone go. But it is also a warning shot to others, do your job, or find a new team and or occupation.

I thinks its a bad move to release him. I can see most people dont share the same opinion.
His performances this season and last have been sub-par. However in my opinion he did earn the starting strong safety job on the team after his performances in 07. Stick Ellison or Gregory in ahead of him, but by releasing him we a losing a solid vet Imo.

I never met him but I know a few people who have, and from their comments he seemed like a very decent bloke off the field, always willing to sign autographs and have a chat. Also, as you all know his path to the league was un-orthodox, baseball in college, started his pro career in AF2. I actually admire the guy for what he has achieved.

He is imo a NFL calibre player and I would be surprised if hes not signed up soon.

Fair play to you Clinton, and best wishes for the future.
