I'm indifferent. Cutting Hart doesn't hurt us but it doesn't help us either.

Happy? Hell yes. I admire Hart from coming in from nowhere and producing over the years but his production the last 2 years has been abysmal. We can't do much worse than what we're doing now. Not saying it's all Harts fault since it wasn't. But we needed more depth at DL and Scott is a vet and has a high motor. Will our D be better? We shall see on MNF.....

Wow man just heard him...he really loved it here, i hope he finds another team and has a great career.

Classy guy for coming on like this...no one else would have the balls to come a local radio show after being cut.

    Goodluck man.

I don't know why jokes won't work in this thread... (have you heard this one...)

'Y 'know,' said the Scotsman, 'I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow there's a little bar called McTavish's. Now the landlord there goes out of his way for the locals so much that when you buy four drinks he will buy the fifth drink for you.'

'Well,' said the Englishman, 'at my local, the Red Lion, the barman there will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two!'

'Ahhh, that's nothing,' said the Irishman. 'Back home in Dublin , there's Ryan's Pub. Now, the moment you set foot in the place they'll buy you a drink, then another; in fact, all the drinks you like. Then when you've had enough drinks, they'll take you upstairs and see that you get laid as many times as you want. And all of this is on the house. It doesn't cost a single Euro.'

The Englishman and Scotsman immediately doubt the Irishman's claims; but, the Irishman swears that every word is true.

'Well,' said the Englishman, 'did this actually happen to you?'

'Not me meself; personally, no,' responded the Irishman.
'But, it did happen to me sister.'

I feel for him, personally. He was unable to get to starting caliber level. He might get a backup role somewhere. I hope he does and gets paid for sitting on the bench.

The fact is, for whatever the reasons, he wasn't doing great.

Listening to 1090, I understand Clinton went on earlier, didn't hear him. Anyhows they are all incredulous at the fact that Hart was cut for Ian Scott. They are claiming that Hart is being made a scapegoat and that he was cut to send a bit of a shockwave thru the locker room. Cutting someone like Oliver while being a better move (according to the radio folks) would not have the necessary impact in the locker room.

There might be some truth to the above but imho it had more to do with the fact that (1) all the younger guys are cheaper and (2) have an upside I s'pose and (3) cannot be possibly any worse that Hart.

For me that is the bottom line. He was playing terribly for more than a year now, Ellison or whoever cannot be any worse surely.

Happy? Damn right I am. Hart couldn't cut it - too bad. It isn't a freakin' popularity contest.

Hopefully we see a LOT more of Spillman & Ellison. Cut Gregory too.

    Mediots. :icon_evil:

I'm not crazy about the Scott move - I'd just as soon have Coleman or Grennan back in.

I can understand being loyal to a teammate and the locker room being upset about Hart being cut. If anything that's a nice sign of cohesion. On the other hand he was a scrub who hadn't had a good year since 2007 maybe and was taking up space. I'm sorry but of all the players he had not been cutting it for the longest time, and that's not an scapegoat but a player who isn't good getting what happens to players that aren't good. At anything this is a sign to everyone there that playing piss porrly won't be tolerated, which is what every lockerroom needs to understand.

    Bring on my boy Ellison!

I wish Clinton, Kelli, Marc all the very best.

Clinton Hart will get another job in the NFL and I hope it is not in the AFC anywhere.

I just heard his goodbye speech and the brother is a class act.

I will never forget Hart's sack of Cutler. Dude destroyed the RB in getting to Cutler.

Setting the all time INT record with Cro leading the pack with 10 and Clinton 5. If we ONLY had a nose tackle to run this 3-4 defense, I have no doubts that happy days would be here again.

It is a kick in the gut and this one will sting for a while for this fan however; the game continues. This is just a stepping stone for the Hart family.

    Best wishes

    Trumpetman & family

This doesn't sound good... or maybe it does? I'm not a fan of blowing things up mid-season....

I wouldn't consider cutting the worst player on our roster "blowing things I up". Plus he was making close to 3mil a year, so it opens up some cap space.

I think Kassim or Buster could be on the chopping block too if AJ isn't trying to trade them. If AJ is going to start trading draft picks for players we're going to need room on the roster.
