leisure can not get under my skin as much as he tries or had tried. He knows I am impervious to his pedestrian swill. There are many Boltfans who enjoy the get togethers prior to the game.

When we were in college, we would get a cardboard box and fill it with beer and ice and that was our cooler. We were dirt poor in college as most college students are these days but that did not stop us from finding a cheap way into the Chargers games. We parked off site to save on parking and walked over the little mini-bridge about a 1/4 mile but it was no big deal and it was for free.

I know a few attendees are college students (myinnerself is one) and they can not afford the games (not to embarass him or anything) but I know how it is.....it is a biiitch being broke and wanting to get a glimps of the team which you are jonesing over. MasterofPuppets (teacher in Tijuana) got a free ticket from boltssbbound last year which was cool. A lot of good things happen which many times does not get posted but that is the way it is.....

Yeah I was a Bolts fan before i went to SDSU, but my best friend Lumpy's dad had season tix, and was working on a bridge somewhere for two years so I got to go to a couple games a year and became addicted. if folks are looking for a cheap way to do the gameday experience preseason is the way. can score those tix real cheap. oddly enough you'll see me at both preseason games and at least houston for sure.:icon_rofl:

Even if he is able to lift that now, you think he was able to do that before he had surgery? How soon after surgery do you think he was able to lift?

That's my point. He's able to bench 225 25 times and he's still not fully recovered.

This wasn't some major shoulder surgery Merriman had. It was a scope. He'll be fine. As far as him looking alot smaller, I think that's just people seeing what they think they will see. Shawne still looks like a big mofo to me.

BTW, the same fishwrap that mentioned the weakness in his shoulder also mentioned him benching 225 25 times.

Benefit of the doubt as long as he performs on the field and doesn't test positive again.

I don't hear any reports about Merriman losing weight, so to me it's not a concern.

I don't thnk we are disagreeing, just looking at two different aspects of the same issue. Merriman evidently has a lot of strength back, but being off for so long he still could have lost some mass which he hasn't made back yet. (I also agree he looks pretty big to me).

I think the worries people have of him being smaller this year will be laid to rest once training camp roles around and the surgery is a distant memory.

Considering how often people see him out of pads, it's ridiculous to speculate that he is smaller based on a picture you saw on your computer.

Hopefully we don't have to listen to that line of thinking on the podcast.

ZACTLY

I saw him up close at minicamp. He looked just as big. Infact when ever he came up to the sled, the coach on the sled jumped off before Merrimand hit it and nearly turned it over. It wasnt a dainty get off, he was jumping for his life.

Merriman will be fine, he isnt a small guy now, and he isnt frail. HE WILL BE FINE! I hav seen him up close with my own eyes.

Exactly. All these Internet drama queens want to speculate about something salacious. I could understand if Merriman looked like a deflated balloon, like Giambi a few years ago, but he looks pretty much the same size to me.

Maybe he is still juicing, but is doing a better job of masking before the drug tests.

Remember, last year was his first offseason in the NFL. What worked in collegs doesn't always work at the next level.

Geez, give me a break! He had one positive test out of 20. Even if he happened to drop to 260, which I doubt, he'd lose no strength and become more more capable in dropping off into pass coverage in zone blitzes. Personally, if he has dropped a few pounds and gotten a half step faster, I'd be scared sh*&less if I was on the other side of the ball.

Look at the header at the top of the page. Merriman looks the same. He isnt smaller. Edit: IMO.
