Colts unravel; all signs point to Dungy's departure - ESPN - John Clayton I'm surprised that Clayton sinks to this level. It's not about what the Chargers did right, but what the Colts did wrong. We've beat them three straight times. They always turn the ball over against us. This wasn't something new. This was just the latest example of a trend against the Colts.
I have to agree with you, but you can't let Clayton get to you, he's awful. Stupid little geek. It's funny how some teams don't play well against others. Colts against Chargers, Denver against Colts, Pats against Denver, sometimes one team has the other's number.
Big shock. All the talking heads gave us no chance, so now these tools are doing the backstroke trying to find excuses for themselves. Fuk em all. Chargers went to Indy, punched them in the mouth, won the game on a 4th Q drive with LT and Rivers on the bench. Fuk em all.
I can't be bothered to read that whole article, and unfortunatly, all of the subsuquent comments (as awsome as I asume them all to be.) But this is completely expected. There's going to be lot's more of it. It wasn't 2 minutes after the game that some douche on espnnews already said we have no chance. It doesn't matter.
this analysis is a lot less emotional and certainly more unbiased,... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs07/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=3194997
I think this one is interesting http://www.nbcsports.com/portal/sit...0VgnVCM10000075c1d240RCRD&cpsextcurrchannel=1 It's something I've been saying on other boards, the second half of the season the Pats defense has been very vanilla, and uncomplicated. I think they have been hiding what they can do to not allow playoff opponents the opportunity to read their tendencies. It will be interesting to see if they become more aggressive with their blitz packages and more complex with their coverages against the Chargers.
My favorite was the criticism by some pundits that the Colts were too predictable in their defensive approach. Hello, they play the Tampa 2. They rush four and play cover 2 behind it on 95% of their defensive plays. This is nothing new. The chargers were just good enough to beat it. Now I'm hearing how the Colts DBs had a terrible game. Maybe our receivers and QB were just unstoppable. No one says the Jags had a bad defensive game. They just talk about the Great Tom Brady. The double standard is sickening. It really comes down to the pundits trying to find reasons why they weren't as wrong as it would appear. Essentially, what they are saying is, "It's not that the Chargers were the better team. It's that the Colts didn't play like the Colts." Bullshit.
I agree with you on the analysis of the Colts' defense, no question they always play cover 2, very straightforward. As for the media "just talking about the Great Tom Brady", you do realize he set a playoff record for completion percentage, he deserves the credit for that. Chargers' receivers and qb's played well, no doubt about it, but you can't deny that Brady had one of the great playoff games ever for a QB.
Dont deny that - Brady is to this generation what Montana was to the 80s. he just wins and usually in the post season But Montana lost quite a fair number of playoff games too
I'll bet the Colts played more Cover-3 than Cover-2 yesterday. Lots of man coverage as well. They did that to keep Sanders in the box as much as possible to stop our running game.
That was not meant to be disparaging of Brady. He had a great game on Saturday. My point is one player gets credit and the other does not. That's the double standard I find sickening. For the record, I hated the Jags defensive approach in that game. They played on their heels. They never blitzed or took any chances until the game was out of reach. They didn't mix it up. They rushed 3 or 4, sat back in a deep zone and let Brady pick them apart. Rivers had a QB rating of 133 against the Colts. He and the Chargers offense deserve the credit for that, just as Brady deserves credit for being perfect against the Jags.
:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl: Where's Trumpet?? we need to bring this to another level!!!:lol::lol:
Yeah, if the Pats trolls don't like me, wait until they get some Trumpet blasts. They'll have to clean the bong water spittle off their little Hoodies ...
Why thank you Walt, as it so happens it's just enough for my Paul Lowe card... thanx for the xmas present... :icon_toast:
Fuc this douchebag. Embrace the Hate. Oh, and all the patriot troll on this board can go fuc themselves.
What hate? You're talking about the Pats? The DARLINGS of the NFL, their officials, ESPN, and just about every national media outlet? You guys haven't seen **** for hate. More like the rest of the country is embracing your nut sacks.
