Looking at the depth chart you get a feeling on which direction the Chargers are going to go

    *Warning* It isn't pretty
Green is for no need to be addressed
    Yellow is needs improvement
Red means needs a make over Now!

    QB Philip Rivers, Charlie Whitehurst

    RB
Ryan Mathews, Danny Woodhead, Ronnie Brown, Edwin Baker

    WR
Danario Alexander, Malcolm Floyd, Vincent Brown, Robert Meachem, Eddie Royal, Richard Goodman (Raise your hand if you're upset our projected 4th and 5th WR's are making more this year than your top 3 WR's combined)

    FB
    Le'Ron McClain
TE Antonio Gates, John Phillips, Ladarius Green
LT Jared Gaither, King Dunlap (I put it at yellow because Gaither is on our roster right now)
    LG Johnnie Troutman, Rich Ohrnberger
    C Nick Hardwick, David Molk
    RG
    Chad Rinehart, Steve Schilling
    RT Jeromy Clary, Kevin Haslam

    LDE Corey Liuget
    LOLB Melvin Ingram, Larry English
    LILB Jonas Mouton, Bront Bird
    LCB Shareece Wright, Johnny Patrick

    NT
    Cam Thomas
    RDE Kendall Reyes, Damik Scafe
    ROLB Jarrett Johnson

    RILB
    Donald Butler

    RCB
Derek Cox, Marcus Gilchrist, Greg Gatson

    SS
    Brandon Taylor, Sean Cattouse

    FS
    Eric Weddle, Darrell Stuckey

Obviously we have a lot of holes to fill and not a lot of money or draft picks
I still believe we need to address our O line but I see us taking one Tackle and one guard

The other 5 spots I see us going on defense mainly for depth.

ILB is the greatest need followed by ROLB. the last 3 spots are NT and DE.

I don't see us drafting a CB this year only because we should see what Wright and Gilchrist can do first, no sense in drafting a guy to come in and block them, same goes with SS I would like to see Taylor come back healthy before we make a move on that spot.

Where's Fozzy?......... Man, what a huge oversight. ;)

And what about Mike Harris? Sure, the guy was a bit lost as a UDFA rookie, but Liuget looked lost his first year too. It's quite possible with a year under his belt and a new coaching staff and blocking scheme, he might become a decent tackle (at least as a backup).

QB - Good: Lets face it if Rivers gets hurt the season is over.
RB - Medium: Still need a real #2 IMO
TE - Good: Green has monster upside, Phillips is a solid blocking #3.
WR - Good: If Alexander is a true #1, we have guys who can start 1 thru 5.
OT - Dog ****: Not a starter or even a trustworthy candidate on the roster.
OG - Medium/Low: I think we're set on backups, we need a couple starters now.
C - Good: Hardwick is unspectacular but a good fit, Baxter and Molk are solid backups.

DE - Medium: We may have the best combo in the league, but no backups.
NT - Medium/Low: Thomas is solid, not great, and we have no depth now.
OLB - Low: In terms of pass rush this is a serious problem.
ILB - Medium/Low: Butler is it, everyone else is a question mark.
CB - Medium: Cox and Wright will be respectable (albeit injury concerned) starters, I'm not a fan of Gilchrist.
FS - Good: Worst case scenario Gilchrist could start here if needed.
SS - Low: Taylor is hurt and Corey Lynch is just a space filler.

The four in red are the MUST FILLS where we absolutely need a guy we know can start.

I thought Corey Lynch played well for the 4 games he started, that's probably what he'll start this year if re-signed, just to buy Brandon Taylor some time.

OT is not trustworthy, but I wouldn't label it dog ****. Again, if Gaither buys into the 'new enviornment' at Chargers park everyone seems to be talking about, we will have solid LOT. King Dunlap, is a very good pass protector, not a very good run blocker. ROT is a mystery, Clary needs to go. This is a must need in the draft.

NT is a position of need. Cam Thomas still yet to prove he's a starter in this league. He's made improvements, yes, but I don't know if I can trust him just yet.

This is what stuck out to me from the above. NT all of a sudden aswell as the D line generally is in dire need of depth. We lose one of Cox or Wright and we are screwed at corner too. I can see Jammer coming back as a back up and mentor. A run stuffing beast of an ILB to complement Butler is a need too.

It goes without saying the situation at Tackle is potentially disastrous (like 2012 all over again).
