Who just happened to be found hiding behind a dumpster bawling his eyes out after shiiting the bed in the most important game of his life.

Gates was ineffective with his injury and aggravated it. If Phillips was as dependent on mobility as guys like Vince Young, I doubt he would have played either. Of the three, Phillips was risking further injury the least. Now LT is getting healthy, Gates is still iffy and it seems he would be a good deal healthier by now if he hadn't forced his ineffective self onto the field. LT has found himself a new sense of commitment since he was force to sit out a key game with the injury. If the ligaments in his knee had gotten torn in the playoffs, the surgery and the recovery would probably have him on the sidelines until at least mid season. As it stands, he'll be 100% at training camp. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Ask Gates. Whether he's asked or not, whether he admits it or not, he is likely rethinking his presence on the field after he was hurt.
