DIRECTV and PlayStation Bring NFL Sunday Ticket to PS3

We are excited to announce that PlayStation has partnered with DIRECTV to bring its popular sports subscription service, NFL SUNDAY TICKET, to the PlayStation 3 game console. PlayStation owners across the country will now have the opportunity to watch every out-of-market Sunday game on their PS3.

How do you get in the game? At the start of the season, viewers who do not currently have access to DIRECTV will be able to subscribe to NFL SUNDAY TICKET at the season price of $339.95. Existing DIRECTV customers who already have NFL SUNDAY TICKET and NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go through DIRECTV can access the service on their PS3 for no additional charge.
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is a DIRECTV-exclusive sports package that offers:

• Up to 14 NFL games every Sunday
• Full HD for every football game
• DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel

We know that PlayStation fans are huge sports enthusiasts, so adding NFL SUNDAY TICKET is the perfect complement to the PS3’s rapidly growing lineup of sports entertainment, including MLB.TV and NHL GameCenter. You can get NFL Sunday ticket if you have a Roku too.

Sunday Ticket is great for those who live outside the market. If I didn't have Sunday Ticket, I would only get to see Chargers games when they play in prime time or against the Broncos. I figure I gave my 2 season tickets ($1800/season) when I moved, so @ $330, I am spending nearly $1500 less than I was when going to the games

Awesome. As a college student in Texas, it's impossible for me to watch the games unless they're nationally broadcasted unless I watch them in terrible internet quality.

I also couldn't do Sunday Ticket till now because I can't get a Satellite Dish for my dorm room.

I am perfectly fine with paying the price if it means that I'll get to see every Chargers game for the first time in my life. Especially in HD.

Will this be available to people outside of the US?

Yep. I'd rather just spend that money going to the bar to watch ALL the games when we are away.

I'm not an alcoholic dude, sheesh.

Even if it was the same amount, I'd still rather spend it here locally at a place where I can meet friends and other peeps and have a good time watching all the games on multiple sets than on my PS3.
