1.Maualuga at 16 if he falls, otherwise a RT 3.DE 3.OG/S But at least two fat boys with the first three picks.
I would like to see the defense lined up like this next year: ------------Weddle----------------Brown ------------------Cooper--------Phillips -------------Merriman----------------------Sapp Cromartie--------------------------------------------Jammer ----------------Jerry - Williams - Castillo
Anyone have an opinion on Clay matthews? I'm getting intrigued by him and I'm starting to think he might be a better late pick up then someone like a Brian Cushing. Also another late late late round pick up George Hypolite - DL - Colorado Nickname: The Rabid Goldfish
no linebackers or running backs in the first round. they have more pressing issues. dl or o-line. trade back if the right pick ain't there. they will need more draft picks, as AJ hates free agency. i like FA safety sean jones. he was hurt most of last year, so he might be cheapish? i dunno., but i doubt it happens.
A big part of it depends on if we lose Darren Sproles. If we can't keep Sproles, we NEED a runningback that can be an eventuall replacement or at the very least spell for LT. And given his skill set, I love LeSean McCoy, he seems like an "AJ guy" to me. The problem is his draft stock is going to skyrocket during the combine after he runs a 4.3-4.4 40 time. Mark my words, McCoy will not go later than 20 come April.
As long as Turner is coach we don't need a road grater OL. We need someone who doesn't whiff on rushers at RT. A number 16 pick for that? No thanks.
I think the lack of a serious rush hurt us all season long and that to me makes the most sense in the first or second round if Aj feels the right person is there. OL to me is the only other thing that makes a lot of sense, there is some serious defenses in the AFC to contend with.
As much as I would love to see Maualuga line up with the rest of our d, you all can't truly believe AJ's going to pick this guy? He has a history of abusing alcohol, and we already have enough alcoholics to deal with as it is.
