He is the greatest Charger that ever lived!
If he didn't have any heart, he would have become a free agent in 2006 (or sooner) and gone to a team like Dallas or New England. That way, he would have got Michael Jordan type of endorsements. He'd have is own clothing, fast food, TV show, etc.

But he didn't do any of that. His heart was here in San Diego!!! He gave all he had to turn this pathetic franchise around and he did!!! Unfortunately, he was not able to help get a Championship... but he gave ALL he had to try to make it happen!!!
Not to mention, he gave s*** loads to this great community!!!

    BOTTOM LINE... THIS FRANCHISE BLOWS!!!
Say what you will about me but it's the truth and you know it!!!

Now we do have hope in Rivers. I have no doubt that he has the ability to win a Super Bowl and he wants to do it here in San Diego just as bad. If it doesn't happen, what will you say about him?

I hope it happens but if it doesn't, I won't throw him under a bus.
I love this team but LT is the best player a team could have ever asked for.

If that's the case you can always rename yourself to LT4LIFE instead of BOLTS4LIFE and support the Jets this season.

I say BOTTOM LINE... THIS FRANCHISE ROCKS!!!

I'm cautious not to be too disprespectful because I know I'm a rookie around these parts and I know LT has a very special place in this franchise, but I really feel that perhaps LT BLOWS for leaving this franchise. Seriously, he says he left because he wants to win a Superbowl - but didn't he have the opportunity to do that here. Doesn't the fairytale end with LT mentoring a new RB and being a 3rd down and goal line back for us for another year or two on a reduced contract if he can swallow his pride and do that. Spanos ensured we gave him another chance last year, if he didn't pack his bags and slam the door on the way out of the locker room, I have very little doubt that Spanos would have strongarmed AJ to make it happen (if LT had wanted the potentially perfect farewell)

Are people ignorant, or just selective on what parts of reality they want to follow?

Both LT and AJ said last year, after the contract was re-negotiated once, that it wasn't going to happen again. They both said LT would be a Charger under that contract, or not at all.

Now people whine because "LT wouldn't take a pay cut". Get real people, and stop being so ignorant. I wish AL all the luck in the world, but I do not hope he gets a ring, becasue if he gets one, then the Chargers don't.

People seem to think being an LT fan and a Charger fan are mutually exclusive. You can still be a Can of LT just because he isn't a charger. And it doesn't mean you have to root for the Jets. People amaze me by thinking if they are not bashing on LT, that it means they are just a secret Jets fan, or more of an LT fan than a Charger fan.

I seriously doubt the Cowboys fans were killing Emmit when he went to AZ for a couple years, yet Charger fans just keep killing this guy who worked his *** off as a Bolt for the last 9 years

LT WAS the greatest charger ever, in my opinion.

He is now a Jet. I'm not a fan of the Jets, so I really don't care what happens from here on out.

Nothing will change the way I feel about what he did when he was here, and nothing that happens from here on out will change how I feel about his team this year. They're still the Jets.

Wow, so B4L is claiming to be a lifelong fan of a franchise that he proclaims 'Blows'...

Why does this not surprise me...

Hey, I love LT just as much as the next fan. My issue is that by him saying he wants to go to a team that has a chance to win a superbowl to me says that he doesn't think the Bolts do. I mean the guy is willing to possibly be a 3rd down back when he still could have been the main guy here. So he would like to help a young RB for another team then to stick around and help the team he spent 10 years on. I guess the bottom line is that this really is just a businessand unfortunately it's the fans that always get the short end of the stick.

I still want someone on the Bolt defense to give LT a forearm shiver he will never forget otherwise; LT is the second greatest Charger to ever live.

Lance Alworth still holds the number one spot in my book. :bolt:

Open your mind to the brilliance that is called Bolts4Life.

Too many haters and followers of the haters.

I don't always agree with his opinions but I have learned to respect his takes. The brother believes in what he preaches and that is better than dealing with back stabbers. Taint no different in a forum.

After witnessing the 60's & 70's & 80's & 90's and now a decade into the next millenia, I have a tendency to begrudgingly agree.

This just seems like the Coryell era all over. The window is closing again and deja vu permeates the air.

It is the most difficult thing in the world to call your kids defective and get away with it yet you do it soooooooooooo well. :icon_banana: :icon_toast:

I bet you will be just as happy as the next fan when we win the Super Bowl yet many here do not think so.

We also once went 14-2 and didn't advance in the playoffs. So what?

    Yup, that's me.

The band wagoner who purchased season tickets when in 2002 when they just had a 5-11 season followed by a 1-15 season.
The band wagoner who attends one road game a season.

What I am is an honest fan. As long as they're the "San Diego Chargers," I'll always be loyal and supportive... but I'm not going to close my eyes and pretend we won titles for losing the AFCC, winning the first round of the playoffs, and losing the first round of the playoffs.

He didn't say he wants to go to another team because he wants a SB. People take what he said out of context. He said what ever team he chose to go to, had to be a SB contender. He left SD not because of their chance of winning a SB, but because he and AJ agreed that they would NOT renegotiate his contract again, and that he wanted to go somewhere that had a commitment to running the ball. What is so wrong with that?

He's got a great point. You saw that playoff game. Did that look like a team that wanted a ring?

I say a bunch of millionaires who are more interested in partying and expected the Jets to just hand them the win on a silver platter.
Well the Jets popped em' in the mouth cause they wanted that win. With that and LT's words... maybe these pansies will now realize they have to work if they really want that title.

I don't think that this franchise sucks, but at the same time, I don't thin they are going to win a superbowl any time soon.

He had a great 07 season... I'm sure still having MT and Neil helped

In 08, he still got over 1,000 yards but a nagging injury slowed him down.

Oh... and the season he broke the record was in 06. Rivers was our starter.
