    I already know where I'm gonna stay, @ my timeshare @ one of two spots, Tropicana (couple miles w of strip) or S. LV Blvd. (about 5 miles south of strip), I just haven't booked yet. I will probably know for sure by the end of the month.

    Hay, if we stayed at one of the "cheaper hotels" downtown .... how long would it take us to get to Michael's? I'm just wondering so I can factor that into the equation. A biatch of a drive to Michaels would not be worth saving a few bucks in hotel room, IMNSHO.

    I'll have a car... so anyone staying at the same hotel as TT and I are welcome to drive along with us (until we fill up the car)

    We stayed at Gold Coast last year. It was about a 10 minute drive to Michael's... Gold Coast, Rio, Palms, and Orleans are all within very close proximity.

    Thanks LVBF. I'll be in Vegas on business a few weeks earlier and staying at Harrahs.... so I won't mind staying off the strip/downtown for the BT trip... if that's where everyone else wants to stay.

    I am planning on coming... but there are a dozen things that can change those plans. I am planning on bringing some co-workers and friends as well.

    Have we found any hot hotel deals yet? I'm still thinking about staying downtown...

    I'm out.

    My wife's grandfather has been having health issues, and as a result, the huge birthday party that was planned for him in the Imperial Valley on Sat the 25th has been scaled down and moved to his home on Sun the 26th. And in all honesty, this may very well be his last birthday party, and my wife and I are not gonna miss it.

    On top of that, I'm in the same boat as Ant. Money is becoming too tight, still need new tires for my car and other things before I can justify another trip to Vegas this year. I really, REALLY wish I could go, but I simply can't.

    Sorry folks. I hope you all still go and have a blast and let us know!

    I'm in. the place is really crowded on gameday so get there early.

    There's also a new Bar and Grill in town call John Cutter
    on charleston and 215. all the cooks wear chargers hats and they have a huge chargers flag up. its more of an upscale bar. Hope to see some fans there on sundays!!!

    Turbo Turtle and I will be heading to Vegas that weekend and Thumper says he might be making this trip.

    We're going to be booking our hotel reservations this week, so if anyone has any suggestions for decent, affordable places to stay, please feel free to post them.

    EDIT: Booked at The Orleans for now. Both The Gold Coast (where we stayed last year) and The Rio are booked.

    MEET US AT CHURCH FOR LONDON GAME!!!

    Meet us at Churchills pub in San Marcos Ca. for Charger football on Sun. Oct. 26th. when we take on the New Orleans St. in the UK. I work part time as a bouncer there and have cleared it with the owner, and he would love to have those of us that aren't going to Vegas or London to watch the game. We have 20 beers on tap over 200 in bottle and the best fish and chips in SD. There's also happy hour all day, $.33 cent wings as well as $5.00 burgers all game and a full menu of American and authentic english cuisine. and many HD TV's. So give me a head count so I know how many people are going to be there and can reserve enough tables for everyone. They are located on San Marcos Blvd. across the street from Frys electronics.:icon_toast:

    Here is a link to the pub website for directions, beer and food menu, etc... Don't be fooled by he Sunday opening time. It says 11am but they are open earlier on gamedays.
