he has single handlely f u c k e d up this whole draft, who in the h e l l drafts 5th and 6th round talent in the 2nd and 3rd.. im tired of his ****.. this is like the George Bush of drafts the rich get richer, look at the saints and patriots, good solid picks
Pete Prisco gives AJ a B, A, F, B+, C for his picks thus far. :icon_shrug: Only one he was harsh on was Mouton. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/story/14998621
I agree with that. Mouton is the one pick that gets under my skin, because he'd probably be available tomorrow if we hadn't taken him today. Brown is eh... Reminds me of a young Derrick Mason. Clearly someone fell in love with him during the Senior Bowl, but the bottom line is this guy will never be a legitimate #1 WR. He's just too limited as an athlete.
I agree in relative proportion with Prisco. I can't in good conscience give the Gilchrist selection anything above a B/B- because he doesn't have a clear-cut position on this team (even with the Shareece Wright selection) aside from possibly pushing Paul Oliver off the team and off his RFA tender. Mouton was a flat out terrible selection. AJ has somehow convinced himself that he's gotten another Lawrence Timmons when Mouton is far more the next Jordan Dizon or really... (you'll all love this, but the comparison if you watch the tape is extremely accurate) Matt Wilhelm. The simple fact that we used 5 picks in the Top 100 and only address the trenches once equates to not deserving anything greater than a C. Sorry, but it's the truth. Watch the teams that are repeating with combinations of winning records year in and year out. They may not take one in the 1st round annually, but they habitually draft trench players in the Top 3 rounds year after year after year. AJ draft skill position players. (And people wondered why Buffalo could never get over the hump and into a Super Bowl for so many years?) AJ looks to be not-so slowly turning us into the modern day incarnation of the 1990's Buffalo Bills - who mind you had a likely HoF RB, a very possible HoF QB, a will-eventually-be HoF receiver, and several HoF defenders on their roster during his time with that staff and where they could never get over the hump.
The 1990s bills were a shanked FG removed from getting over the hump. You can't possibly blame that on poor GMing.
I'm sorry, but regardless of how you see AJ and his GM'ing abilities, this thread title is some funny farking sh!t ......... In these times of Gloom & Doom, I'll gladly applaud anything that gives me a hearty chuckle and this certainly did. Nice job to the OP .......... this deserves a very special Whitney clap.
Oh Gurlfreeeend !!!! Anyone but ............... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ..... anyone but WHIFFY !!!
The one difference I see between Mouton and Whiffles is that Whiffles wasn't a big fan of contact, Mouton is. Doesn't mean Mouton is gonna make it in the NFL. But he's no Whilffle clone.
Oh Thank fark for that then ('cause I may have had to harm somebody who's initials start with AJ) .............. this lovely young nursey has just revived a pulse in me I do believe !!!!
