The Last Samuri was very good inspite of Tom Cruise. The scenery and costumes were very good, and there was some very good acting to cover up for Mr. No emotion.

    Any Bourne movie.

    Behind Enemy Lines.

Grandma's Boy has got to be one of the dumbest movies ever made... had me laughing uncontrollably for hours, though. One of Sandler's funnier endeavors... and he wasn't even in it!!

I hear ya, man. It's a struggle for my wife and I to even watch a one-hour television episode.

We're going to attempt to watch "Army Wives" tonight.

He is one of my favorite actors. He has rocked in everything I have seen him in. I need to see the WWII movie with him, Letters from Iwo-Jima?

I wouldn't put it into one of my favorite movies, but I really liked it and thought Cruise played the role perfectly.

The cinematography was top notch throughout that movie, whether it be the battle (gore) scenes, or just the backdrop of the countryside.

I'm not a "Tom" fan, but the wife has loved him since "Risky Business" - we both REALLY liked Last Samuri though, great flick.

Not a "favorite" but watched "Shooter" last night on DVD and it was a surprisingly good movie. Called it an "A".

My surprise favorite movie in this past year was "Eragon" - watched it with my Grand kids after reading both Eragon and The Eldest in hard cover. ;)

I read the book before they had made this into a movie. I enjoyed both the book and the film. You're right though. Darker than most Ben Stiller stuff.

You mean the part where Sir Hopkins shoves the gerbil up Brad's...

    ...oh... wait... wrong movie...

Hell... wrong actor... I was thinking of Richard Gere.

Ah... I'll give him a nod... I loved "Unfaithful"

Diane Lane was smokin' hot in that flick. :lttehghost: :lttehghost:

If anyone has netflix and wants to add me to their netflix friends, send me a message. It'll let you view what I have in my movie queue and how I rated the movies I've seen.

I like the LOTR series.... 1 and 2 were much better than 3, IMO. Think I liked 1 the best due to the character development. I'll never forget that Golum moment. Y'all prolly know what I mean. The time he was very conflicted over good and evil... I remember saying out loud at the time... "The Academy is going to have to think of a way to deal with that"

I've never had much interest at all in the Harry Potter series until I started seeing the trailers for the new movie.... Love it!!

I prolly need to start from the beginning... Might have a Harry Potter series weekend...
