    This loss was 100% Norv!!!
Our D held the Fins to 17 points. That's more than enough for a win!!!
He's suppose to be the "Offensive Guru." Remember?

If you're a Chargers fan (as opposed to a Norv fan) get the signs ready for Sunday Night!!!

    Signs of Norv's horrible coaching...
    Unprepared to start EVEY game.
    Costly penalties.
    Injuries.

ALL of that is on the Head Coach!!!

Injuries are the fault of the coach?

That's a sign of poor training.

I'm not ready to lynch Norv or Teddy yet. It's not how you start it's how you finish that matters. That being said, the excuses for starting slow last season seem to ring hollow at this point.

    Things I have noticed.

Teams seem to "go for broke" against us while we tend to play it close to the vest. The Dolphins were rushing up to six on a regular basis and we only made them pay for it once.

They also kept getting great matchups all day long. LT left to block Roth one on one is a dream matchup for the Fish and it happened time and time again.

Brown runs hard and fights for the extra yard. LT spun into the back of his guard twice, drops balls again, and doesn't fight for the extra yard.

The Dolphins d-line had penetration all day long. Running between the tackles on a 4th and goal was plain stupid.

Rivers has reverted back to the midseason confusion of last year and the overhthrow of Jackson is something Pro Bowl QB's don't do.

Dobbins keeps getting better and better.

Cromarties tackling has gotten better but his ball skills have let him down a few times this year.

How about the bad day that Rivers had? I guess that's Norv's fault too? :icon_huh:

So Rivers has a few incomplete passes.
Who is responsible for the play calling?
Who made the horrible call that cost us the game?

Dude, I agree that Norv was horrible today and his playcalling didn't allow the offense to get into any kind of rhythm, but Rivers missed more than a few passes. This was his worst game of the year.

I blame the players more this week. They need to step-up and dominate the player in front of them. They just don't play with any energy, fire or urgency.

One of the reasons why he was brought in was because he was supposed to be a great developer of QB's.

I do believe that Norv deserves the blame for our disappointing start. He is the head coach. The buck stops with him. That being said the season is still young and for those that are giving up on the Chargers already we will leave a spot on the bandwagon for down the road.

But you can't ignore how people like Parcells and his puppet coach can take over the laughing stock of the NFL and have them dominate the Chargers and Pats a month into the season. And then you have Norv who was given the keys to the Ferrari and has it stalled to start two seasons in a row. He owns that. If we are fortunate enough to make it to the playoffs and get stung by home field advantage he owns that too. Anything but the SB should be considered a disappointment to this team. AJ was quick to point that kind of stuff our when Marty was around but for some strange reason he only says that he is pleased with this team now.....

I still believe that the Coaches put in the game plan, but the players still have to exicute.

If my crew has a bad day at work, is it my fault? :icon_shrug:
I've given them the tool's, material and the info. They need to get it done!

I put this loss on the players!

If you tell your crew to work on the wrong thing, they won't get the job done. If the coaches don't prepare the players properly before the game, don't be surprised when the players play crappy.

Norv is less to blame that Cottrell, LT, Rivers, and just the recievers not getting open.

I didnt hate the playcalling, I hated the execution, and I hated the complete lack of intensity and motivation.

This team is weak, we'll be lucky to win 9 games.

I do not get excited over Chargers losses!!!

I'm not going to praise Norv for doing a sh!tty job either.
I'm a Chargers fan... not a Norv fan!!!

How many times can you run LT straight up the middle?
Not to mention, he had no plan B.

    Norv was fully outcoached!!!
    Which anybody can do!!!
    He's so damn predictable!!!

I don't know why everyone is so down on our D.
Like I keep saying "if they can hold the other team to 17 points, that should be a win!!!"

My only problem with the really was that stupid penalty on Hart.
That's a result of poor coaching!!!

Why was this thread moved? The offensive gameplan was attrocious today, and what's wrong with discussing that? Anyways, here's the play by play chart of our offensive series today. We didn't use the run consistently enough at all. One run here, one run there, we didn't give the running game enough time to develop, especially after it showed a ton of promise on the first drive.

I wonder if Bill Cowher is missing coaching? I don't see why this team with all the pro bowl players we have is not crushing the other team.

That works for the odd "off day". The fact of the matter is that the Chargers have had at least 4 "off days" with the only possible exception being the Jets game. We have played what appears to be 5 very mediocre teams and have yet to exert our will on any of them. We are supposed to be a top tier team and yet play like an also ran.

If the players are supposed to be as good as advertised you can't put it on them every week.

Because this place gets a little sensitive after losses. Most likely BFISA pm'ed a MOD and demanded that this thread be moved since it is critical of Norv.

Cause there's too many people in this forum who have a major man crush on Norv. A post like this will put their panties in a bunch!!!

But like I said "I'm a Chargers fan, not a Norv Fan!!!"

Anybody tired of always having to come from behind too? I have a feeling Norv is going to start getting hammered by the press and not just by us fans.
