Oline play sucked, Norv coached like his head was up his ***, & Teddy was his usual clueless ****ing self.

I swear, I'm beginning to wonder if Cottrell has some kind of dirt on AJ from the Buffalo days. Give Rivera the keys to the defense - it couldn't be any worse.

As for Norv - the jury is still out for me.

Yes if your crew has a bad day, the boss is still responsible! Get the Job done! bottom line! If you need to make adjustments do it...sit people down, kick some ***, but get it done.

The person who is responsible for how the crew performs should be held accountable. Bottom line in any business.

So you'd fire a whole crew for just 1 bad day? :icon_shrug:
    Good thinking!

It does work on paper but not in reality!

    It's real simple....

The coaches put the players in position to make the plays and they didn't.Yet you blame the coach.

I gave my crew the tools, material and info and they didn't get the job done. You blame me.

    What's so hard to understand?

If the job does not get done, then the manager gets the blame..bottom line in any business. It does not matter how hard you row..you still have to cross the finish line. If your crew can't perform, then change out the bad apples. If that does not work, then the person responsible for the crew must be held accountale...it is simple and real world. It may be the manager, the GM, or whoever...but it fall within the managment chain.

What coaches are in my opinion: The coaches are like chess players they are resposible for knowing what strengths and weaknesses each player has on their team as well as the opposing team. They are resposible for putting their players in a position of success and the player they choose should dominate. Plays for the most part are called by the coaches and should be designed to utilize their players to the best of their abilities.

The San Dego Charger coaches were not able to make adjustments today with their players to compete with the dolphish. I am not saying there wasn't lackluster play by the starters but I believe the San Diego chess players (coaches) couldn't make a correct move to save their own life. CHECKMATE!!!!!!!!!

I cant blame this lose completely on coaching, I mean there were a lot of different elements that contributed to this loss.
Defense wasn't able to to make the big plays that we needed in the red zone. Phillip Rivers wasn't making the best passes or the best choices either, also the offensive line wasn't holding the dolphins de-line so that LT could be effective. One thing that I don't understand is, why don't the chargers sit out LT and let him heal, and just let Sproles take the reins. I think the team will recover from this and be a hell of a better team from this point on.
One thing is, we need to remember that this is what AJ Smith wants. He wants to be the arm chair QB. So everyone have another beer and lets look toward next weekend.

This is what I said on the Face it thread:

I am not saying coaching is the only reason for our loss today. The Chargers didn't play an inspired game and the dolphish put some effective offense on the field. I think that the hiking the ball to Brown was effective and they shook things up and we played conventional football. We were not able to adjust to their plays or stop the run.

Football is a team sport which includes the coaching staff.

    How is that Norv's fault?

Its just a question. I dont like Norv, never have, never will. But costly penalties ARE NOT Norval's fault.

I dunno man... Penalties are largely attributed to discipline (or the lack thereof) which is largely attributed to coaching/organization.

Come on you really dont believe that do you?

These are professional athletes, most of which have been playing football since they were children. I would venture to say that they know better by now not to commit penalties. Penalties I am sorry are on the players not the coaches.
