Why isnt <INSERT COACHES NAME HERE> hired already? Thought this guy was younger and could move fast on these deals. Why hasnt he convinced Jammer to play SS and to give us a hometown contract for him yet. I mean really, no FA signings yet? This guy is way too lazy... HIRE JIMMY RAYE NOW!

First conference done. Looks young, seemed a little nervous, but looks smart and motivated. Said all the right things. Lets see him put it into effect. All I can say is AJ hadnt looked like he cared one way or another for years now, this guy seems to want to prove himself. I like that.

I kinda cringed when Tommy Two Toes talked about how much he idolized Bill Polian. Not a good sign for our O-line.
Anyone else feel like from the looks of this picture that we just hired Buster from Arrested Development?
There was a stretch where Polian wouldn't draft OL prior to the 5th round. From the glance over their Indy drafts yesterday, I saw a ton of mid-round picks used on DB's (many of which turned out either very average or who I had no clue who the hell they were - and that's not a good thing). One thing that should be brought to light in that respect though is that Indy's OL coach was Howard Mudd who only works with smaller, more athletic linemen and those are the guys that you typically don't invest high picks in because they slip to the later rounds. If - and it's going to depend on who we hire as HC, OC, and OL coach - we stick with a power-blocking scheme, he may have little choice but to invest higher picks. And I've been just as guilty of this as any to want to automatically equate a Polian protege to being another Polian. Ted Thompson (Green Bay's GM who started out as a scout under Ron Wolf) has made similar allusions to his feelings about Wolf as Telesco made about Polian, but he's not really the carbon copy of Wolf in the top exec's office, now is he?
