^^^ And that writer is kidding himself if he thinks Poe starts at the 0-Tech from Day 1. Just doesn't happen. Even the current greats saw 90% of their first-year snaps in 3-man fronts at the 5-Tech (Wilfork, Raji, formerly Hampton), or spent the first year mostly on the bench spelling the incumbent NT (Cody... and Gregg before him, Jay Ratliff, Soliai, Pouha, Francois).
Trading up from 18 to 10 will cost us our 2nd round pick. In fact, giving up only our 3rd, I'd say the highest we can get up from our 1st is maybe 14th or 15th in the 1st.
I honestly don't even think Poe lasts that long.. I think he's gone to 2-3 teams that have a need at NT in the top 10.. Panthers and possibly Miami if they lose Solali.. But, we need Perry, can't stress it enough, its nice his LB'ers coach is here too, which can help him get comfortable and be a real force. He can do some damage, he's raw, might not put up Aldon Smith #'ers his rookie year but he'll deff be close to double digit sacks if we scheme right and I have all the confidence in the world in Pagano he will. And if we take Perry at 18, I think we can get away with Stuckey/McDaniel rotation at SS.. one of the two can make a impact with a good scheme. Who knows, maybe Gilchrist will see time there as well.. So far we have at OLB: Phillips, Barnes, Johnson, English, LaBoy, and Elmore - deff need a draft pick in there as a pass rushing OLB

Kevin Boss meeting with the Chiefs on Thursday Posted by Evan Silva on March 14, 2012, 6:22 PM EDT ReutersAdam Caplan of Sirius NFL Radio reports thatthe Chiefs will host free agent tight end Kevin Boss at their club headquarters on Thursday. The Chiefs wanted John Carlson earlier in the day, but they weren’t going to match the Vikings’ $25 million offer for a player who didn’t even play a snap in 2011. Boss isn’t quite as athletic as Carlson, but he’s a much better blocker and could free up Tony Moeaki for a bigger role in Kansas City’s receiving game.

ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk RB LeRon McClain agrees to terms in San Diego. Three-year deal. League source.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter RB Le'Ron McClain agreed to terms on a 3-year deal with the SD Chargers.
UTKevinAcee @UTKevinAcee Chargers agree to terms w/ RB Le'Ron McClain. 5-year vet has ave 3.8 yards per carry. Tolbert didn't stick in KC, now has replacement in SD.
UTKevinAcee @UTKevinAcee I'm thinking McClain signing alone might not spell end for Tolbert in SD. McClain could be the new "true" fullback the Chargers desire.
McClain has been a hybrid RB/FB for a while, like Hester only bigger and.....well better. I'm pretty sure this means no more Tolbert, and its maybe security if Summers doesn't pan out?
