The defense is killing this team, and for whatever part of that is Norv's fault, I am happy to say so. I have never, ever said none of this is Norv's fault, I just have the ability to see that there are several reasons that the team is struggling. Your problem is that you keep insisting that 100% of EVERYTHING is Norv's fault, and that's why you have ZERO credibility in this forum. You refuse to assign blame anywhere else, and it just makes you look silly.

I'd really like to see Ted Cotrell fired right now. The defense is playing terribly, and is getting slapped around. When your opponent goes for it on 4th down TWICE instead of taking nearly sure points on a field goal, they are bsically saying they have no respect for your ability to stop them. I doubt Rivera or whoever else would do any worse, and perhaps it would send a message.

    This is Norv...
    unprepared to start
    zero dicipline
    behind in the first half
digging out of the hole in the second half

Ted flat out sucks and everybody knows that. If you remember, in the beginning when Norv was hired, the talk in here was "so easy a caveman could do it." That just goes to show how bad Norv is.

As for ZERO credibility, you are referring to "the forum Village People" and that's quite an honor. Simply because they are the lamest of all. As long as I'm not in their category, I'm good to go!!!

No, I am pretty sure you have ZERO credibility with almost everyone on this forum. You can make up cutesy names for the people who disagree with you and call people Norv-Lovers, or whatever, but I think most people have a pretty good idea of the extent of your football "knowledge."

I'm trying to decide which is worse, having the talent to win every game, yet still finding ways to lose, or just not having the talent.

I am possible more frustrated right now than I was even in the Ryan Leaf era. At least back then we had an excuse. This team has no excuse. Any team can lose a few close game no matter how good they are, but a team with this much talent has no excuse to start a season 3-5.

Time to face reality. This team which should be contending for best record in the league is instead a team that has a good possibility of not making the playoffs. It's only sheer luck that the rest of the AFC West is so inept that we could still win the division. That won't happen unless things change.

This team was built like a war ship ready to take on all opponents, but it's so frustrating sitting back and watching this ship sail in the wrong direction. It's time for a shake up of this staff.

I'm a Charger fan through and through, but I think I'm going to take a few days away from the boards. The way I'm feeling right now, I'd likely just post **** this team over and over for a few days anyways.

My point wasn't that Norv and Ted aren't the problem or part of the problem. My point was that it isn't 100% Norv's fault as B4L constantly maintains.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled with the job they are doing either. But I am more irritated with Ted and his defensive schemes. I still feel that with better performance by the defense, this team is not in this situation.

And if you agree with B4L's assessment that 100% of all of our problems are directly attributable to Norv, have at it. I did say he has no credibility with ALMOST everybody in this forum, I did not say all members. After all, dealing in absolutes just makes people look silly.

Depends on how you define being a quitter.

Having no confidense in a Ted Cottrell defense imo isnt being a quitter. Saying we cant stop anybody isnt being a quitter. It is just stating the obvious.

Differing opinions, my friend. When, in the 3rd quarter, fans're declaring the game is over, or stating they're turning their TV off, IMHO that's quitting.

Hey. Convince yourself with what ever you want but the ones who complain about me is you and the rest of the Village People over and over again. You can count a good number of posts but they're ALL from the same people.

Finally I was willing to put it to rest but then you and that select group kept talking about it during the off season and preseason.
So like I keep saying "it's back by popular demand!!!"

When it was gone, you ran out of things to b!tch about and didn't know what to do with yourselves and that pure fact!!! Still in denial?

I think this is way more frustrating than not having talent at all. From the experiences of this year, it was much easier to accept the Padres being terrible since they're admittedly rebuilding than to watch the Chargers under-perform to this extent this year.

As for the Leaf era... Hey, at least it was entertaining.
"Just ****ing don't talk to me, all right! Knock it off!" Never gets old...

The Giants are playing up on the WR's and rushing the passer on Pittsburghs last drive.

Ted would be playing back and giving them 15 yard gains or more on every play.

EDIT* They just got two sacks while jaming the WR's

That's what I don't understand; where is the D that 2 weeks ago beat up the Patsies by doing just what you mention.

Really? Given the evidence that our D could not STOP them, what is the logical conclusion?

Hell, Norv didn't even have enough confidence in them and decided to go for the onside kick.

    Welcome to my world!

In watching the Giants play, they forced big Ben to throw 4 picks. Ok, one was prayer he threw up at the end. But the other 3 stopped them.

Pittsbugh's oline is **** this year. A prime time for us to blitz EVERY down if there ever was one.
