True... But a lot of that was on 2 carries and it just seemed like he was getting stopped at the line a little too much. Maybe I'm wrong on that one but it seems like if you're gonna run on first down all the time you need to be getting a solid four yards per carry consistently.

What it comes down to on the run game I think is that LT is the kind of back that makes things happen when he has space to work with, rather than a Jerome Bettis type back who just pushes the pile. We're using the run to open up the pass when maybe it should be the other way around. Today was better, but I don't think we're there yet.

The only problem with the run game today was that we couldn't afford to stick to it. Playing from behind necessitates an air assault. Without Philip Rivers, this team would be 1-7 (any QB would beat the Raiders). :lol:
